Design students envision a modern Model-T {Autoblog}

May 2nd 2008 7:48PM Bigoted idiots like amg on this board? Shocking!

amg said - "design is ugly. nothing to do with race. now go dream of your lunar rover."

If that's the case why even bring up the kid's ethnicity (albeit the wrong one)?

Beijing 2008: Hyundai debuts facelifted Elantra {Autoblog}

Apr 24th 2008 12:15PM Unfortunately, I don't think glasses are going to help your lack of reading COMPREHENSION (bro!).

I was only talking about the rear lights treatment, not anything else.

Beijing 2008: Hyundai debuts facelifted Elantra {Autoblog}

Apr 23rd 2008 11:50PM Get some glasses, as well as a memory.

The Elantra, thru all of its previous incarnations, have hardly looked like the Corolla.

And if anything, the current Corolla "copied" its taillights from Mazda.

Apr 23rd 2008 11:38PM LOL!!

This the best description I've heard/read of Hyundai's designs.

And you're right - the side looks a bit out of place w/ the new front/back.

Apr 23rd 2008 3:05PM The PRC nowadays is a totalitarian regime which has tight control of the media, uses/incites nationalism to justify its hold on power and to deflect any internal criticism and has close relations btwn govt., the military and business.

Beijing 2008: Hyundai debuts facelifted Elantra {Autoblog}

Apr 23rd 2008 3:00PM Looks better in the photos than in the previous images.

While hardly a gorgeous car (are there any at this price-point/category?), it is, nonetheless, more pleasing to the eye than the current Corolla - and maybe even the Civic).

As for moving "upmarket" - Hyundai is only doing that (up to a point) in order to raise its image against the likes of Toyota and Honda.

Once American consumers start seeing Hyundai as a viable alternative to Toyota/Honda, Hyundai will likely then introduce its own separate lux brand.

Surprise! Hyundai to phase out Tiburon {Autoblog}

Apr 18th 2008 11:44PM Yeah, the Tib and the 456 look so much alike that I can't tell them apart (sarcasm).

Audi Q5 to be built in China {Autoblog}

Apr 18th 2008 11:37PM And oh, btw, what's up w/ the Elantra-style headlights?

Audi Q5 to be built in China {Autoblog}

Apr 18th 2008 11:35PM There, no doubt, is justified criticism of China's lack of quality and use of inferior, faulty or dangerous in many segments of manufacturing.

As for the use of lead paint - yes, sometimes, it is due to greedy factory owners, but there are also many cases of overseas corporations squeezing their Chinese suppliers to the very last drop (tho, this still doesn't justify using dangerous components/materials).
