More details on the 2009 Ford Focus {Autoblog}
May 13th 2008 8:11PM Smaller car sales are up in general due to gas prices. You can't just say increased sales is due to the great redesign. I think getting rid of the vents is positive, but the 2 door is far uglier than the four door and both are not attractive. Get rid of the vents on the four door.

Chrysler kills rebadge of Dodge Journey to work on small car {Autoblog}
May 13th 2008 2:44PM Smart move not to rebrand it with some Chrylser badges. The Journey does need further interior work. C&D mag said that was a negative. Supposedly Chrysler improved the Journey interior last minute before introduction. I would hate to see what it looked like before! Probably on par with the Caliber.

What is the point of buying a luxury sedan/coupe if nobody knows how much you spent? That is a large part of what premium car buyers value. It is like the people in the slow lane impeding traffic in their V8 BMWs and MBs--they clearly bought it for the status and not for the driving performance. They could be serviced by buying a 6 cylinder.

Future Classic: 1984 Chrysler Minivans {Autoblog}
May 9th 2008 2:55PM I wouldn't call the original Chrysler minivans classic, but they were groundbreaking and seminal. Created a market segment that is still important today. In 25 years though, the creator and leader has fallen to 3rd/4th in the minivan race in terms of leadership.
