Time to change your desktop: new SL65 AMG Black Series wallpaper {Autoblog}

Jul 25th 2008 5:47AM What's wrong with this car? Does it melt in the sun?
Is that the reason they had to get the plane to drive alongside it so it doesn't touch the sun?

Hmmm....

This thing might be a breed of Vampires...

Another automated fine - thanks, HAL {Autoblog}

Jul 15th 2008 1:49AM "How about issuing fines and jailtime for people who cause collisions due to neglect of equipment while leaving people who not cause collisions alone?"

You see, if he causes a collision with you, who obviously is aware of safety concerns with the tires, and kills you in the accident, would you not rather have him checked his tires and replaced so the accident could have been prevented?

Japan's automakers focus on weight loss, one ounce at a time {Autoblog}

Jul 8th 2008 11:29AM I live in Switzerland and we have lots of snow here. I used to have a 1992 Mitsubishi Colt with a lousy 1.3L engine and it weighed a little less than a ton.
On my way to Davos (up the mountain) I had no trouble at all getting there even though it was snowing like crazy. I even saw heavy cars on the curb mounting snow chains because they got stuck.

Japan's automakers focus on weight loss, one ounce at a time {Autoblog}

Jul 8th 2008 7:26AM What about loosing the power steering, power brakes and power windows? This way you would loose weight and at the same time the driver would loose weight as well, as he gets a free workout with the car.

Jul 7th 2008 10:18AM "Why do these companies have to design new cars, there are plenty of cars around the world that are already in Production that we could sell."

Well, as you can see from the pic, they don't design new cars. They take cars that are already in production and sell them (with their badge and name obviously).

Jul 4th 2008 9:51AM Shutting down your engine to coast is not smart.
Forget the power steering, we did long before without it and we could handle well. What has to be a major concern is the power brakes, as soon as you merely tip on the brakes it gets harder as there is no support and suddenly you won't be able to brake at all. Another thing is the turbo (that is if you have one) as soon as you shut off the engine the turbo will no longer be feeded with oil and in a short timespan it will break down for sure. You all know how much a turbo costs to replace? Best treatment for a turbo is to turn off the engine not earlier (better a little later) than 10 seconds after you stop.
