Dell 3008WFP hands-on! {Engadget}

Jan 9th 2008 11:31AM I agree. I meant to say something about the base actually being necessary to support it's girth.
And I agree on the Centro thing too. I, personally, kinda liked the design of it, and I remember it also being a good seller, so, it can't be THAT ugly.

Dell 3008WFP hands-on! {Engadget}

Jan 9th 2008 12:42AM Personally, I like the base. I mean... I can see ways of cleaning up desk space by using it (so long as it's flat) by putting things like docks for cellphones or DAP/PMP's.
And damn! All those inputs...
I'll take 4, free of charge (I complimented the base, that has to be worth something! :-D)

Hitachi to phase out 1.0 and 1.8-inch drives, Fujitsu scraps plans to launch them {Engadget}

Jan 5th 2008 1:29AM I think a lot of people don't see that problem though...
They see it as incredibly fast data storage, low power requirements, and less chances of failure, even in RAID 0.
So... as valid as your argument is... if flash can indeed prove itself as a viable alternative to traditional HDD's... who knows... one day relatively soon (15-20 years from now) hard drives may very well be a complete thing of the past.
Some people just like to jump on the bandwagon early, some do it because they can warrant the price for their setup, and some just feel like it...
In the end... it doesn't matter how prices drop... reliability and speed will probably end up winning out.

(Sorry if this was redundant... I'm tired)

Lumus-Optical's LOE-based glasses get pictured {Engadget}

Jan 4th 2008 12:31AM I think we've all thought about that...
Sure... it'll be nice...
But, one does have to wonder how such conveniences may take away from our privacy, and possibly our security... I mean... it WILL be cool, there's no doubt about that... But... what problems will it cause is what we don't know...

eBay Find of the Day: Tupac Shakur's H1 gets around {Autoblog}

Dec 30th 2007 8:10AM Am I the only one who gets a gallery for a 2008 Buick LaCrosse CXS? I scrolled down and was like "Whoa"... Wow... didn't know you guys hated H1's or what.
But, man...

Last Mercury stand-alone dealership closes {Autoblog}

Dec 18th 2007 10:47AM That seems kinda sad, kind of like the end of an era. Ah well... I hope that family still does okay. Ford, well, they'll do what they like (U.S. vs. EU Focus anyone?).

Battleship Mtron: the absurdly fast SSD RAID array {Engadget}

Dec 13th 2007 12:53PM Well... I don't know about you, but, I RTFA and, even then, you don't have to... just look at the drives... they say MTRON on the side! And also, if you'd pay any attention, you'd notice that the drives aren't oriented like normal SATA HDD's, the connectors for those are oriented on a longer end of the drives and not a shorter end like normal 3.5" HDD's...
So...
I think all of your arguments are moot, except for those who are talking about the tech getting to light speed transfers one day.
Sorry to sound like a flame...
Just use your eyes from time to time.
