Target trialing online sales of pre-owned electronics {Engadget}
Nov 22nd 2007 1:26AM My guess is that their aim was to centralize the process. The most obvious reason for this is that i doubt individual stores (at least some of them) get returned ipods in "perfect working condition" in bulk. Online distribution allows there to be a common pool and therefore a greater supply. Also, by going with online distribution they don't have to guess what stores would have a better chance of selling them and sending them off just to sit on a shelf in a poor market.
Think a free Jeep would be sweet? Lick it! {Autoblog}
Sep 19th 2007 12:49PM Wait a sec: representing each of their seven models? Wouldn't it suck to be stuck licking the Commander clean when the lucky person next to you got a Compass? It doesn't seem like a very fair contest to me.
A most excellent adventure through time {DS Fanboy}
Jun 5th 2007 10:17AM There already has been a Bill and Ted's game: for NES at least, i've got the cart and must say, at least from what i can remember, it was kind of unsatisfying.
Hacked Xbox 360 firmware prevents banning {Engadget}
May 31st 2007 1:58PM actually, engadget got this one right. //austin's definition is correct, but the application is off. The tat refer's to the first move, technically made by the first modders. The mods therefore are the tat part. Unless Microsoft responds to the hack AND THEN does something ELSE to get a response from the modders it will remain that the tats are the mods and the tits are Microsoft's responses (and lets be honest, when's the last time Microsoft was truely preemptive on something, security flaws generally are "pointed out to them" in one way or another). So, though I don't know if engadget understood the whole reasoning behind it, they got this one right.
Halo 3 release month announced? Not likely {Joystiq}
Nov 29th 2006 1:29AM Ok, so I agree that its probably not coming out in "3/07" however, the extra 3 argument is a poor one. Think about it, how many characters on a license plate? An extra 3 would make 8 characters, one more than a license plate can have. Intuition, not the lack of an extra 3, tells me later than March.
Apple continues to irk nation's architectual boards {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Apr 3rd 2006 6:42PM It's things like this that make me proud of where I live. Arlington may be the smallest county with regards to area, but there is a fairly high density of Apple stores around here; Now our neighbors in Alexandria allow Apple to do something that both Boston and NYC wouldn't. I love this area.
Micro car racing on the PSP? What a novel idea! {PSP Fanboy}
Mar 12th 2006 10:51PM ur kidding me right...like sean glickman i also have the nes version. i was worried the franchise was over after poor outings on the N64 and the GameBoy Color...but this is awesome news!!! There is no better simple, fun, racing game than micromachines. tell me that the tanks will still be playable and it will be PERFECT!
