VIDEO: New BMW 750Li and 730d out for beauty shots {Autoblog}

Jul 6th 2008 12:02PM It's an improvement over the last design, but still not an attractive vehicle.

Darrell - agreed. It looks like a watered down interpretation of the Volvo front clip, and it's worse for the changes.

Jun 20th 2008 5:06PM They simply crawl into the floor board and croak. Honda will work on the smell post sale.

Ticket to Ride: Honda develops Auto-Max 22-vehicle rail car {Autoblog}

Jun 20th 2008 5:04PM Judging from the photos, it'll hold 22 vehicles in the small midsize sedan or smaller range. Current rail cars hold 10 anything, so it's not completely an equal comparison.

That said, it looks like a great improvement. It'll also help with "rail dust"...the iron particles that embed in paint during transport in open cars.

Apr 30th 2008 7:25AM You'd think that those espousing "universal coverage" for the U.S. would look around, but they have a utopian view of the world, or perhaps rose colored glasses.

BMW 520d beats Prius in gas mileage {Autoblog}

Mar 23rd 2008 12:39PM Eco weenies everywhere just went into convulsions. Next, they'll decry the test, claim an unfair advantage, and continue to drive the Pious. (It has never been about saving anything, just appearing to want to save the world.)

2008 Road Trip Vehicles of the Year as chosen by Thule {Autoblog}

Mar 22nd 2008 11:19AM They don't seem to realize that the real mileage for a hybrid suffers on long trips. The gain from regenerative braking is lost. And styling was a bonus for the Subaru? This list seems to be driven by the desire to sell stuff to strap to the car, as both will need it (not large enough to take the trip without add-ons) as opposed to listing stand alone vehicles that can make the trip without the Thule stuff.

Mark LaNeve: Camaro won't be positioned as a muscle car {Autoblog}

Mar 22nd 2008 9:32AM I'm more concerned that the implications also involve pricing - muscle/pony cars were about cheap performance. As stated, "economy" versions have always been around. The independent suspension, sweet ride/handling and other improvements aren't associated with muscle cars. Hopefully, they don't intend to price the performance versions out of the realm of reality.

Over 1/5th of Bugatti Veyrons are in Dubai {Autoblog}

Feb 2nd 2008 7:45AM If you'd ever been in an automotive manufacturing plant, you'd understand why your comment made me laugh at you. Volume manufacturers build more prototypes and development vehicles than Bug. has built as production vehicles. Large scale automotive includes something called a PPAP. 80 parts are measured for analysis from a 300 piece run. That's just to certify the part for initial production. Let me know when the Bug finishes their PPAP run.

As to the movable parts for heat dissipation, I'm guessing your offering that as an excuse for the two tone bodywork. Why do the moving parts have to be mismatched?

And that is far from the only ugly part of the vehicle.
