Spy Shots: 2009 Ford Fiesta, now without tarps! {Autoblog}

Aug 15th 2007 12:55PM Ford believes most import-types won't pay a premium to buy a domestic car. Sure, I'd love to see top notch Ford products like the Mondeo, New Focus, New Fiesta, S Max... but I don't think they will sell to the masses.

We'll all see what happens in the next few years. Fords new CEO has promised a high quality global product line that will begin with the new Fiesta.

Aug 15th 2007 12:32PM I promise, I'll go back to school after I stop off at the store and pick you up some rags for your big whining p****!

The rules are the rules. I don't care how many of them are used properly. I would rather see them provide a loophole for SUV owners rather than import driving asses like you!

Aug 15th 2007 11:38AM Phil,

Stop bitching because you sound like a fool. No one cares what you think... PAY THE TAX IF YOU WANT A LUXURY CAR WITH A V8/V12!

Heavier trucks are viewed as work vehicles with a useful purpose by the government. Want useful purpose does your over-engined car serve?

Aug 14th 2007 11:00PM There is a difference between 'made' and 'assembled'.

There are only a few import models assembled in the U.S.A. and even fewer domestic models assembled in Mexico and Canada.

Aug 14th 2007 9:50PM Turbofrog,

The 'loophole' is for heavier trucks and SUVs. It was put in place to protect pickup truck buyers (workers).

Aug 14th 2007 9:47PM B Montgomery,

I love rich people who complain about the 'luxury tax'. They can justify paying $90,000 for a BMW M5 but then get all worked up over paying a $3,000 tax, lol.

Aug 14th 2007 9:36PM It's funny how you have it all backwards. It's asses like you in your V8 BMWs that want to be rewarded because you over paid! Don't be upset because America offers affordable V8s. THIS LAW WON'T EVER BE COMMING HERE...SO MAYBE YOU SHOULD MOVE TO GERMANY.
