Steve Ballmer confirms Zune coming to Windows Mobile {Engadget}
Oct 2nd 2008 5:30PM I've been saying this should be done for a long time now. I just wish they'd also make Zune available over here in the UK.
Subscription music on a HTC Touch HD would by sweetness for me.
Digital Entertainment Content Ecosystem, the DRM of the future? {Engadget}
Sep 13th 2008 6:57PM First everyone who says DRM sucks should really be saying DRM that doesn't work sucks. Which is all DRM to date.
If this system really does work and I can switch my media from my Sony Player to my Toshiba Player to my Xbox and my PC then it's good. Hopefully with that sort of backing it can become an industry standard.
Oh and by the way entertainment industry people, welcome to 1995!
HTC Touch HD takes 480 x 800 pixels fullscreen {Engadget}
Sep 10th 2008 9:22AM That looks like the phone I've been wanting for about 2 years now. Just hope it has plenty of memory, FM radio and if MS can sort a Zune client for WinMo, then I'm sold.
Hands-on: Sony shows off prototype 400-disc Blu-ray Mega Changer {Engadget}
Sep 4th 2008 5:22PM I would really like one of these, as ripping a Blu-ray collection to HDD just isn't very economic. But I'd like to see them with multiple players inside so I can have this fridge tucked away and various TV around the house can watch different Blu-rays and a time. Then have them daisychainable so when there are enough Blu-rays worth buying you can just add-on as needed.
Revo's new PICO hybrid radio pairs DAB and WiFi with great success {Engadget}
Aug 14th 2008 3:51PM If you don't like it F Off! I'm sure we won't miss you.
UK Radio is awesome, we get everything covered by the BBC, and if commercial stations want us to sit through their ads then they've got to up there game to something much better than the BBC.
Fish n Chips (and mushy peas) for the win!
Sony begins accepting PlayStation Home beta applications {Engadget}
Jul 31st 2008 5:19AM I remember being on the Xbox Live Beta...
... That was a long long long long long time ago.
... Like really long, iPods still had mechanical scroll wheels, I believe it might of been just after the steam engine was invented.
New Apple Store coming to Leicester {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Jul 19th 2008 7:05AM scrubby little city?
Leicester is surely the greatest place in the universe! It's a bit wierd seeing it on a blog though!
I think this is great news as my Dad can go there instead of annoying me everytime his Macbook Air mucks up.
Microsoft takes in $60b, sells 180m Vista licenses since launch {Engadget}
Jul 19th 2008 6:26AM I still don't get peoples problems with Vista, I've been using it for more than a year now and I've never had a problem.
NPD: Wii usurps Xbox 360 as best selling US game console, pulling away {Engadget}
Jul 18th 2008 8:38AM It'd be interesting to see how many games have been sold for each console. I wouldn't be suprised if Wii's bottom of that list.
Theissen: more automakers considering entering F1 {Autoblog}
Jul 8th 2008 5:23AM I sure hope the manufacturers do come in, there are three spots for teams, the one Prodrive didn't use, Super Aguri's vacated spot and Red Bull want to unload Torro Rosso now customer cars are out.
VW could do some like Ferrari and run as Buggati or Lambo but have a VW or Audi badge on the nose. They've got plenty of racing history both old and new to draw on.
For Kia/Hyundai it could really lend some credibility to them in the european market, just make sure they beat the Force Indias.
On the subject of F1 in the US, it's in a very bad shape, unless a US Driver comes in to the sport with a similar impact Lewis Hamilton has had I can't see things changing.
I think the US needs 2 races a year to really get back there. Imagine a 3 week F1 back-to-back-to-back event, almost a mini series. East Coast, Canada then West Coast.
