Details: Audi's new supercharged 3.0-liter V6 {Autoblog}

You're dumb enough to buy a PT Cruiser, yet smart enough to post comments on a Web site?

What a perplexing contradiction...

Why hasn't anyone created a 2.0L DI turbo Fiero? {Autoblog}

May 7th 2008 5:40PM @Farris

Oops... I was thinking TDI when I saw DI used. BTW, you do know your history quite well, for a young pup. ;-)

@beken

You're right. I haven't seen a Veyron break 250mph with my own eyes either, so I guess that must not be true either.

The Fiero started life as an engineering hack-job, with Pontiac cutting too many corners to avoid brand-cannibalization. It ended life unable to overcome its own past history.

Why hasn't anyone created a 2.0L DI turbo Fiero? {Autoblog}

May 7th 2008 4:13PM So mid-engined Fieros suffered from engine fires...

...and mid-engined diesels suffer from engine fires (R8 V10 TDI concept)...

...therefore, a mid-engined diesel Fiero CANNOT suffer from engine fires, because two negatives make a positive?

2008 International Engine of the Year awards announced... {Autoblog}

May 7th 2008 10:56AM IIRC, the VQ35DE has won this award before, but Nissan seems to be falling behind BMW. They need to improve fuel economy to stay competitive.

Another conspicuous absentee is the Lexus 3.5L V6 (a la Camry V6, IS350), which is a truly great piece of work as well.

Honda NSX to spearhead RWD model lineup {Autoblog}

Apr 17th 2008 1:28PM And bumpers, and doorhandles, and a production-feasible interior, and...........

[In other words, this is a "concept" car. That shouldn't be a new concept (pun intended) to you. It's not a production mock-up.]

Rumormill: 2009 Acura TL coming in 2 flavors, gets AWD {Autoblog}

Apr 12th 2008 11:16PM They're going to have a tough time beating the current G35 and 335i on all fronts. Hopefully Acura isn't going down the same road to Dullsville as they did with the new TSX.

Nissan GT-R V-Spec lap times stun observers {Autoblog}

Apr 9th 2008 8:06AM Time for a math lesson, brought to you by our friendly neighborhood redneck Corvette fanboy...

aerith = 1
Vetteracer = 0
aerith > Vetteracer
Vetteracer = FAIL!

Spy Shots: Nissan GT-R Spec-V {Autoblog}

Apr 7th 2008 2:17PM The Spec-V is about BOTH more horsepower AND weight savings.

The dyno tests I've seen but the current GT-R at about 510bhp (at the crank). Although this is more than the factory-stated rating of 480bhp, it is a far cry from the Spec-V's 550bhp target.

I would not be surprised if Nissan also under-rates the Spec-V (i.e., they produce a car greatly exceeding the rated target of 550bhp).

Spy Shots: Nissan GT-R Spec-V {Autoblog}

Apr 7th 2008 1:29PM The GT-R has always been about form following function. The R34 was never a 'pretty' car, but it did demand a lot of respect from those-in-the-know. The R35 carries on this tradition.

Caparo building two new cars beyond the T1 {Autoblog}

Mar 27th 2008 4:46PM I'm thinking they will apply similar insanity to the city car concept.

I'd love to see a small, light, composite-bodied, high-revving city car with good fuel efficiency, great handling, and a sub 5-sec 0-60 capability!
