Video of the Day: The Historic Blockbuster Video Tour! {Cinematical}
May 13th 2008 7:27PM Why does blockbuster still exist? Hasn't this thing seen its day? I've had netflix for over 8 years and for over 8 years there hasn't been a reason to go near a blockbuster. It's so old school and inefficient...

'The Dark Knight' TV Spots! {Cinematical}
May 13th 2008 12:34PM This thing better be dark. And have decent action sequences this time...
The Daily Show: May 12, 2008 - VIDEOS {TV Squad}
May 13th 2008 12:06PM Just a comedy show. I've been a fan of TDS since Kilborn launched as the host. To this day I still feel awful that a talent of Jon Stewart's level is stuck doing a comedy central show. Back in the day he'd fill in for Tom Snyder and do terrific interviews with people. Now he's reduced to making small talk with twits like John McCain and Doug Feith.
Volkswagen to offer three-years of free maintenance on 2009 models {Autoblog}
May 12th 2008 6:26PM Not a VW hater - we've owned three VWAG products over the past 8 years. We own a VW/Audi right now! And it's great car.
But...the doesn't change the fact that this included maintenance program sucks. Royally.
Volkswagen to offer three-years of free maintenance on 2009 models {Autoblog}
May 12th 2008 6:16PM It's not free - you pay for it in the cost of the car.
also, VW/Audi had this in (VW until 2002 and Audi through 2006). It sucked. VW service is bad. Audi's horrid (my wife's audi still falls under this plan and they barely cover anything).
What happened to 4 years/50k warranty on VW? They realized it was too expensive in that 4th year to cover their poorly made cars. Seriously. If they believe their product was that good, they'd adopt the same bumper-to-bumper as BMW's 4 yr/50k miles maintenance-included warranty. BMW treats you right too - something breaks they fix it.
I wouldn't trust this plan. And it's not free - it's included in the cost of the car.
Segs-4-Vets hooks up veterans with Segways {Engadget}
May 12th 2008 1:42PM "Dean Kamen's done a lot of work over the years building technologies for the disabled, which lends a bit of irony to the fact that his most well-known consumer transport, the Segway, is seeing some increased use by veterans."
Irony would be something unexpected. This is correct: Dean Kamen hates the military and in an ironic twist his most famous invention is helping the military."
VW Rabbit gets a carrot from Consumer Reports {Autoblog}
May 11th 2008 7:33PM all the whining about the 24 mpg combined will end when VW releases the rabbit with their awesome 2.0 TDI, right? 40+ MPG combine, 250+ ft-lbs of torque...
The Jetta gets the TDI first but soon all of VW's cars will have the 50 state legal 2.0 TDI and that engine is a winner. Yes, diesel costs more than regular (in San Diego it's about a 55 cent difference). Of course with economy going up 80% over the 2.5 in the rabbit, that slight 15% price jump is easily swallowed by the TDI.
Circuit City looks for a suitor, Blockbuster likely to be it {Engadget}
May 11th 2008 6:58PM Yay! The silliest partnership in decades! This is illogical as GE buying NBC. Blockbuster -a failing enterprise - and Circuit City - another failing concept - married in 2008 so they can fail as one big company!
