BREAKING: Lutz says Pontiac G8 to survive as Chevy Caprice in U.S.; Camaro Z28 reportedly dead {Autoblog}

Jul 11th 2009 3:05PM I really think they should drop the model names of days gone by and use new names. Many of the old names seem to carry bad stigmas. When I think "caprice" i think this:

not a good image, in my opinion. I understand many of these car names have history. but if GM is trying to redefine themselves, they could try and drop some of those names and try to give themselves a completely refreshed image.

Georgia mom looking to mandate 'newly licensed' magnets for teen drivers {Autoblog}

Jul 7th 2009 4:10PM australia has this. L for permit-drivers, and then you get a red "P" for a couple years, and then a green "P" for a couple more. not a huge deal. but why doesnt the govt just make getting a drivers license more difficult as to where you actually have to be good at driving. that would be more effective than p or l or "novice" or whathaveyou stuck on the car.

MTM turns up the wick on the 2010 Audi S4 {Autoblog}

Jul 5th 2009 8:54PM Mind you MTM's price in Euros does not reflect the pricing in the US, it tends to be less than the number you would get from a direct conversion.
Also, MTM's pricing for ECU tunes is usually higher than other tuners which make similar power. Give it a few more months(this car isnt even available in the US yet) and other tuners will start releasing their own tunes which will likely be

REPORT: NHTSA may mandate amber turn signals {Autoblog}

Jul 2nd 2009 5:29PM Ok, but can we get rid of the amber reflectors in the headlights and just have our cars like Euro-spec cars?
You know...like clear corner headlights that still blink amber, and rear turn signals that can still LOOK red until they blink amber?
Thumbs down if amber colored lenses are required.
