Pontiac El Cami-"NO" {Autoblog}
May 8th 2008 1:57PM this is dumb. El Camino has some power in the market place. everyone knows what it is. no one says "Look at the Chevy El Camino", its simply "look at that El Camino".
they couldnt re-brand the Corvette the same way...but for a name that hasnt been used in 25 years...who cares.
RIP: Super Aguri F1 Team folds due to lack of funds {Autoblog}
May 6th 2008 4:24PM i would like to see F1 go back to basics...bring back the clutch pedal. no traction control, no ABS, no other computer nannies. no steering wheels with 15881 different adjustments on it. only rules are it needs to weight 1500 lbs, be an open wheel car, and no forced induction...ready...set...GO!
for F1 to become interesting again they need to lift all the restrictions and just let the teams go at it. its professional racing, no one said its going to be cheap or easy.

In the Autoblog Garage: Volkswagen Jetta 2.5 SE {Autoblog}
Apr 9th 2008 1:44PM the Jetta is built in Mexico. the GTI (and rabbit i think) are built in wolfsburg. there is a noticeable difference in the "squeaks" between my GTI and a friends Jetta. also my GTI has been built proof for 16k miles so far.
Ford touting quality equal to that of Toyota and Honda {Autoblog}
Apr 7th 2008 6:25PM guy you are taking this to far. the study was for 3 months. thats all. And after 3 months they are nearly the same as Toyonda. If the study was for 1yr people would bitch that it wasnt for 2yrs.
good job ford. initial quality is important. i hope there are future studies that say long term reliability is also on par with the best.
Ford has made a big push in the last few years to build more reliable vehicles and they are doing it very well. wasnt there a JD Power survey that recommended like 38 of the 40 vehicles ford sells?! GM and Chrysler seem to worried about making "cool" cars, while thats all fine and dandy for us enthusiast, the toyota camry and honda accord prove you dont need to be pretty in order to sell 400k units.
frankly Ford seems like the only one of the Big 2.8 that actually cares/wants to/is trying to make a change for the better. Chrysler seems not to care either way and GM talks a big game but when push comes to shove they dont make the tough calls.
