Autoblog drives the 2009 Corvette ZR1! (but we can't talk about it yet) {Autoblog}
Aug 13th 2008 8:50PM Who wiped out in the black one? Check out the grass and peculiar absence of front splitter in one of those photos. Must have been those chumps at MT. Nice.
VIDEO: Mismatched much? Challenger SRT8 vs. Civic Si {Autoblog}
Jun 2nd 2008 12:37AM Why are people arguing which car is better here? Don't you know it's apples & oranges?
Plus, who in here realizes that the Challenger is virtually silent in this race? The V8 you hear at the end is from the next car in line heating up its tires, not the Challenger getting back on the gas at the finish line.

May 31st 2008 9:26AM Dur, I meant to write the sound of the V8 was not coming from the Challenger... I'm surprised nobody else caught this.
VIDEO: Mismatched much? Challenger SRT8 vs. Civic Si {Autoblog}
May 31st 2008 9:19AM Firstly: The sound of the V8 winding up at the end of the video is NOT the Charger. It's a car heating up the tires getting ready for the next race.
Secondly: There is no turbo on the Civic. It sounds just like the '08 Civic Si that I drive, only with a louder exhaust.
Thirdly: My Civic Si certainly wasn't marked up at the dealer. Walked out the door for $20k, no hassling.
In the AutoblogGreen Project Garage: 1966 Pontiac LeMans convertible {Autoblog Green}
Aug 7th 2007 4:35PM As the owner of a '66 GTO, I appreciate your fondness for the LeMans of like vintage.
BUT... At this point, it's quite solidly established that ethanol offers no environmental benefit over traditional gasoline when you factor in decreased mileage, production energy expenditure, and the increase in low-lying ozone emissions from the tailpipe. I'm sure you've heard all this before.
So why such an interest in E85?

Former Chrysler design god Tom Gale joins Cerberus advisory team {Autoblog}
Jun 18th 2007 8:42PM Really? These days, I see most LX platform cars belching out blue smoke on their way to a ghetto-auction...
They may have been better than what came before, but they are totally forgetable otherwise.
I'm not terribly excited about this, since none of the cars he was credited for were true shining stars. Case in point: The Prowler was a mistake, even for a "halo" car; the Viper was, and has always been long-in-the-tooth; the PT Cruiser... No comment; And the 300M was a bloated FWD land-yacht with awkward proportions.

In the Autoblog Garage: 2007 Pontiac Solstice GXP {Autoblog}
Jun 18th 2007 1:19PM It makes me a little bit sad to read this. I love the looks and grunt of the Solstice GXP (and Sky Redline), and I wanted it to be a car that was remarkable in every way. Maybe the next generation...
So when are you guys getting a Solstice LS7??
