Fernando Alonso fuels rumors of Ferrari move {Autoblog}
Mar 25th 2008 8:05PM A bit of an oversimplification, no? MS also brought Ross Brawn to Ferrari and Ferrari brought a lot of money to the table, both things that Renault doesn't have.
And if you think that Alonso should have stayed at McLaren cause they did have money and technical prowess, MS didn't have to deal with a hyper-competitive second driver either.
Alonso has acted like a douche lately, but MS was by no means an angel either.

Toyota F1 pins its hopes on new TF108 {Autoblog}
Jan 10th 2008 4:23PM That'd be Honda who were using the equivalent of a desk fan and a plastic bag as their wind tunnel. They claim to have all that sorted out now. We shall see. I'm sure Ross Brawn will whip them into shape.
Toyota HQ gives until 2010 to improve F1 team {Autoblog}
Dec 31st 2007 4:15PM Building an F1 team from nothing is very hard, and being in Germany probably doesn't help with luring experienced F1 personnel to the team.
Getting rid of Ralf sure won't hurt, but Toyota just seems lost as far as getting the car to be competitive.
Friday fun: Cartoons that take a crack at auto industry {Autoblog}
Jun 9th 2007 12:37AM Um, it's also the job of the company management to look to the future, be flexible, and adjust to the market, those dumb shit consumers are the ones shelling out the cash. The customer is king. The most successful companies know this. Find out what the customer wants and provide them with it in a profitable manner. Granted the ills of the auto industry are deeper than just poor management, but that's near the top of the list.
