May 7th 2008 4:14PM IK47......it might shift faster than YOU...but not me. For example...go drive the DSG GTI and then jump in a 6-speed manual GTI. If you drive a stick car properly, you'll see the manual is faster....by half a car.

May 7th 2008 11:19AM That's about the only thing a hybrid owner can brag about. They certainly can't brag about styling or performance. I guess we should be thankful for those who buy these heinous cars now so that someday there might actually be "cool" hybrid vehicles that makes sense buying.

May 7th 2008 9:15AM Going green is a good idea, not to save the planet, but to rid our reliance on the middle east. I woud like to see the hybrids and electric cars get here quick so that demand falls and the price of gas goes down. This way i can continue to fill my Mustangs tank and listen to my flowmasters rumble through my offroad MAC h-pipe for years to come on the cheap.

May 5th 2008 1:59PM I had a 1977 320i and its interior was similar. The shifter had a shorter throw than the cars of today, although it was a 4 speed. The stereo pointed up towards the roof of the car, but everything else was so user friendly and sporty.....until the shock towers in the trunk rusted thru and sealed its fate.

May 3rd 2008 9:32PM This is great reading. I'm looking forward to following this. I wasn't familiar with your MR2, so I don't know what you had done to it. But I'm curious as to why you couldn't take what was on that wrecked car and buy another MR2 and keep going. Did you have collision coverage on it?
Regardless, the 3 series bimmer you are about to work over is a perfect candidate for the job. For those who read Roundel....you know what I mean.
