Detroit Auto Show: Toyota unveils Tundra CrewMax {Autoblog}

Jan 8th 2007 1:17AM Unlike other truck's engines these ponies and the torque actually do work.

As you notice

The Toyota has better observed fuel economy (not by much) proving that GM's Active Fuel Managment is good to fool the EPA test and barely does anything in the real world. As you can see the Toyota is also 1.6 seconds quicker to 60, those pushrod ponies and torque don't seem to work nearly as hard as Toyta's.

Of course the interior on the Tundra is near the bottom of the class and the exterior is a bit akward, while the Silverado's is bland.

Ford prices 2008 Super Duty {Autoblog}

Jan 5th 2007 12:19PM Yes, we all need a 10,000 pound truck getting 10 mpg to haul around 100 pound tool chest and to tow several thousand pounds. You can do anything that anyone ever really uses the super dutys with much smaller and fuel efficient vehicles. All I ever see them hauling and towing is air.

Lincoln MKR Concept revealed! {Autoblog}

Dec 23rd 2006 10:56PM "A production version of this motor, called the TwinForce, will make it to production"

Interesting, but I seriously doubt that it will make 415 hp and 400 lb-ft out of only 3.5 liters in production trim.

Dec 22nd 2006 3:34PM They stole my idea. This should allow for infinite valve timing and possibly less losses on the valve operation when comparing to a cam.

Dec 19th 2006 5:17PM Excellent. You don't need a 10,000 rig getting 5 MPG to tow 3,000 pounds.

eBay Find of the Day: Bugatti Veyron {Autoblog}

Dec 19th 2006 1:46AM Gordon Murray has been throwing a hissy fit since the Veyron came out. He got owned by the Veyron, he has yet to admit it. He sold the same "Veyron sucks to my old car" many times. The fact is that when he designed the luxury oriented sports car (the McLaren SLR, same luxury oriented as the Veyron) it came out HEAVY as well. He hasn't said anything about that. What a loser.
