Spy Shots: Honda Ridgeline unmasked, hide the children {Autoblog}
Jul 15th 2008 1:17PM It's ugly..........for sure. So is the Pilot.
I can see the Ridgeline serving a purpose for people who need decent MPG without tons of towing capability, but I can't get past the looks. I agree that the rear sloping bed just nixes the deal for me..........the 2nd Gen Chevy Avalance is a WAY better looking design!

Jul 10th 2008 11:53AM Any thoughts as to what rebates/incentives will look like in the coming months?
My current lease is up next July, and I am hoping there will still be some screaming good deals at that point.
I can't imagine the truck market will be a whole lot better, but I'm guessing inventory levels may be back in line with where they need to be.........just hoping we don't lose 1/2 the rebate money at that point because of it.
I'm considering either an 09 Silverado LTZ 6.2 / 6 speed or an '09 Ram.

Jul 10th 2008 11:20AM Mike, That is an AWESOME deal you got on the Titan........funny thing is that the $5k in dealer cash doesn't show up anywhere I can find, Edmunds.com, etc etc. I had no idea it was out there;) Good Job!
Volvo still wants to compete with the Germans, despite rumors of sale {Autoblog}
Jul 7th 2008 12:09PM Love my 6 mo. old XC90 V8. Beautifully-crafted interior, tons of space for 5 with lots of luggage, will seat 7 with the 3rd row up if you need it.........terrific Yamaha-built motor really screams, AWD, and mileage is about 24 mpg on the hwy. Average city/hwy is about 18-19mpg.
Underappreciated, for sure, and the V8 gets better "real world" mileage than the 3.2 does:)

2009 Dodge Ram up to 20% more fuel efficient than before {Autoblog}
May 29th 2008 10:33PM I'm currently getting an abysmal 12 mpg city and 16 hwy with my 06 Tundra 4WD V8 Crew Cab (most tanks of mixed driving, I get around 13mpg). Another 12 months to go on the lease, and I had planned to get a new Tundra with the 5.7, which in real world driving is supposed to get better gas mileage than the 1st Gen Tundra. I need towing capacity in the 8500+ range, and if this Ram REALLY gets 21-23 on the hwy, I'm going to seriously consider it.
5.4L V8 power ratings revealed for 2009 Ford F-150 {Autoblog}
May 16th 2008 1:31PM There might be a couple of configurations of the F150 that can out-tow a Tundra (10,300), but the 2 Crew Cabs I just spec'd out (FX4 and King Ranch) are at 9,300 towing capacity......... and there's no way that a 5.4 has as much towing power at any given weight as the 5.7 Tundra, 5.6 Titan, 6.0 / 6.2 GM trucks...........
5.4L V8 power ratings revealed for 2009 Ford F-150 {Autoblog}
May 16th 2008 11:58AM Right on...........what a bummer, another massaged version of the 5.4L that STILL doesn't match the power & efficiency of the competition. New Tundra has 381hp and 401 lb.-ft, GM and Dodge have cylinder deactivation, etc.
C'mon, Ford, get with the program!!
Sorry, your SUV is now worthless {Autoblog}
Apr 30th 2008 9:30AM Chill out, guys & gals. Some people NEED SUV's/Trucks because of their particular situations. Up here in northern Michigan, where we get a fair amount of snow, FWD + snow tires won't always cut it. My parents had an 06 Odyssey with snow tires that I had to pull out of the driveway more than once, and nobody makes an AWD minivan anymore. We've got a Volvo XC90, which even with the V8 in it, gets 24.5 mpg crusing on the highway at 65mph. My co-worker just bought an '07 Grand Caravan, which gets 21.5 on the highway :)
