Mossberg impressed by Dell's XPS One {Engadget}

Dec 27th 2007 12:10PM Given that I use Leopard and Vista every single day, I have to say Leopard is far better than Vista. Leopard does have plenty of bugs or annoyances, but Vista has a ton more.

The XPS One is quite nice, but I'd have to go with the iMac over it. And you can upgrade the RAM and HDD in the iMac quite easily.

32 ways to speed up Aperture {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Dec 3rd 2007 5:34PM Switching to Adobe's Lightroom would give you a huge speed bump. I personally really don't see why anyone would be using Aperture over Lightroom at this point after using the two.

but those tips are great for the people that do use it, even if most of them are common sense things.

FIA rejects McLaren appeal, confirms Raikkonen's title {Autoblog}

Nov 20th 2007 8:00PM Autoblog really needs to stop reporting on F1 or Top Gear. You guys are always way late with news concerning those two things.

Miro 1.0 {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Nov 14th 2007 7:52AM A built in BT client is great if you want all your tv shows automatically downloaded (via rss) and want them together with your video podcasts, which Miro is vastly superior to iTunes for.

Heroes: Four Months Ago {TV Squad}

Nov 13th 2007 11:38AM Regarding the box with Peter's stuff, I was under the impression that the irish guy took the stuff off of Peter and put it in a box to give to him later.

Sprint Nextel agrees to start unlocking phones {Engadget}

Oct 26th 2007 5:58PM "OMG?! Unlocked phones? In North America? From a CARRIER?
*faints*......"

Doesn't seem their going to be selling phones unlocked. Just allowing non-Sprint'd phones on their network and allowing people to unlock theirs when they leave Sprint for someone else. The few GSM carriers here already do this.

Heroes: Fight or Flight {TV Squad}

Oct 23rd 2007 1:26PM "Elle - look Kristen Bell is playing Veronica Mars again - or at least this is her entire range - but the dialogue and writing are 1/100th as sharp as VM. I'd say it's a step down for her but she's a scientologist so she's not exactly a deep thinker. This popcorn is probably more up her alley."

She's not an scientologist... she's Catholic... (not that there's anything more wrong with scientology than any other religion)

And she's a great actress and has played a wide range of roles. I don't think it would be fair to judge her based on a whole 2 minutes of screen time so far in this series.

Apple raises Leopard Academic price {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Oct 16th 2007 4:11PM Unless Apple has started using serials with OS X in this version, there's nothing stopping you from doing that, it would however, be against the license agreement

Apple raises Leopard Academic price {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Oct 16th 2007 3:36PM I could throw in Office 2007 Ultimate vs. iWork as well

Office 2007 Ultimate from MS: $60
iWork 08: $71

Obviously, with the exception of Keynote, Office owns iWork.

Apple raises Leopard Academic price {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Oct 16th 2007 3:33PM I see people trying to say this is a good deal and comparing it to MS' prices, which just doesn't make sense to me

This: $116
Vista Business: $0 for download, or $20ish to mail the DVD package from my school's MSDN program.

This price also doesn't make sense as it would just make a ton more sense for a student to sign up for ADC for $99 instead, which will include the OS, among other things.
