Today's most satirical video: Loading.Ready.Run tackles 'Max Effect' {Joystiq}
Jan 29th 2008 8:02AM Simple answer is that Revver (what LRR uses) pays out for certain numbers of videos watched (and thus certain number of adverts seen).
Thus LRR make a few Canuck cents for each watch to pay for bandwidth, as opposed to none if they hosted it on youtube.

Straight from the horse's mouth: Here's the deal at TVR {Autoblog}
Mar 7th 2007 9:26AM I think Morgan spent £5 million, worked with Siemens, and crashed 22 Aero 8s, getting type approval for the US. They don't make their own engines though; TVR do.
So it's not impossible, but it's a long hard struggle.

Where to, gov'na? New TX4 London Cabs introduced in Europe {Autoblog}
Oct 19th 2006 4:17PM "4. For consumer use these are probably too expensive, heavy, and slow."
Too expensive, yes, probably. They're not slow - especially on the streets of London, they're more than adequate [heck knows the cabbies drive them at a rate of knots].
Stephen Fry [a British celebrity] drives one as his daily car - on the basis that they go zillions of miles needing very little maintenance, and that tiny turning circle makes them very useful in city streets. As does Bez from the Happy Mondays, but enough said about him the better...
You gotta have harp: A musician looks for the perfect hauler {Autoblog}
Oct 16th 2006 3:20PM I play the double bass, which is pretty big [though not quite as big as an orchestral harp!].
We used to use a Volvo 850 before it became just too unreliable. Now we have a Seat Alhambra.
Needless to say I had plenty fun taking the bass to car dealers.
[Having said all that, my old teacher swore that she could fit hers into her original Mini. Darned if I know how - by strapping it to the roof, maybe? :/ ]
