Porsche Spy Shots
Porsche is a brand of high-end luxury and sportscars with headquarters in Stuttgart, Germany. Founded in 1931 by Ferdinand Porsche, the company is best known for the 911 that's been on sale since 1964. It's also credited with designing the original Volkswagen Beetle in the 1930s under contract for the German government. This connection with Volkswagen exists today, as the latter became full owner of Porsche in July 2012.

0Spy Shots: See what the Chevy C7 ZR1 may be benchmarked against 1367940420
One of the greatest things every Corvette has had going for it, and also one of the most re-used arguments against it, is its price-to-performance equation - long before the Nissan GT-R became the de facto Porsche 911 comparator the Corvette spent decades as Exhibit A. Depending on which side of the argument you stressed, supporters crowed about how much ...

Spy Shots: 2015 Porsche Cayenne spotted with facelift 1365018300
Although it's only been a few years since the current Porsche Cayenne was introduced, Porsche seems to be working on a midcycle update for its big SUV possibly in time to welcome the smaller Macan. As seen in these recent spy shots, it looks like the Cayenne will be getting a minor face- and butt-lift, but it's hard to say what other changes are in store ...

Spy Shots: Porsche Macan spied, all lit up and dodging flurries 1358459880
We've seen the upcoming Porsche Macan testing on surface roads and even on the Nürburgring, but here we have our first spy shots showing a disguised prototype doing some winter testing in snowy conditions. Still obscured by plenty of camouflage attempting to mimic its larger Cayenne sibling, we still can't get a clear look at what the Macan's face ...

A few images of what looks to be the production Porsche 918 Spyder are here to say hello, courtesy of a patent office in China. If these provide an accurate look at what the hybrid supercar will look like, there are a few differences between it and the latest examples of the pre-production prototypes our spy shooters have seen. The jerry-rigged turn ...

Video: Porsche Macan caught barely disguised in motion 1353975300
Even though Porsche engineers left their Macan crossover sitting in the darkness behind a gas station in Stuttgart, it was spotted and briefly photographed and videoed. It looks like the same worse-for-wear mule's that's been popular with photographers for a few months now, its camo-clad exterior and a bit of its interior no longer secrets. What we can ...

2013 Porsche Cayman spotted in the wild 1353098700
It's no secret that Porsche is bringing the next-gen Cayman to the Los Angeles Auto Show. The automaker can tease us all they want with word of a "new compact sports car," but we know what the score is: the new Cayman is on the way, and we're ready for it. That said, no one has seen what the next-generation of the sub-911 coupe looks like... that is, until ...

Practicing their final notes before they go on song for paying customers, three 991-series Porsche 911 GT3 prototypes were caught at a filling station in Catalunya, Spain almost completely uncovered. According to the photographer (working with an iPhone), two of them (foreground in the photo above) were wearing a host of extras from the options list, ...

What's this? More spy shots of the same Macan test mule we saw a few months ago? Yes. But this time, we've also got a few glimpses into the interior. This Macan is also wearing different wheels, has roof rails, and sports quad exhaust pipes. We're still waiting for some concrete information about Porsche's Audi Q5-based crossover, which goes into ...

We've got to hand it to Porsche – the company certainly knows how to pull our heart strings. As if we weren't already been smitten with the 918 Spyder, the automaker has the audacity to wrap one up in its historic Martini livery before sending it out to the Nürburgring for testing. Up above you can see it lifting a wheel at the Little ...

Spy Shots: Porsche 911 prototype caught sporting real Targa roof 1339006500
No, that's not a Type 991 Porsche 911 Cabriolet – look closely and you'll see the first true Targa since the model variant disappeared from the Porsche 911 line in 1995. Oh yes, we know Porsche has been selling one in the interim, but to purists, the giant sunroof models of the past 17 years have been Targas in name only. While we don't exactly ...
