First Drive: 2011 Porsche Cayenne Turbo sheds 4,177 Twinkies - and it shows
Imagine, for a moment, that the Porsche engineering team has dropped 4,177 individually wrapped Twinkies on the lab floor. The yellow cream-filled sponge cakes are scattered shin-deep across the smooth ceramic tiles and kicked into the corners by technicians wearing white lab coats as more hit the floor. Individually, the cakes aren't very heavy. However, add 4,177 of the treats together and they weigh nearly 400 pounds. Those thousands of Twinkies represent the average weight removed by Porsche on its all-new 2011 Cayenne. Thanks to a massive diet, the automaker's SUV emerges as a ... Read More

02011 Porsche Cayenne leaks ahead of Geneva debut 1266429600
While we've seen several spy shots of 2011 Porsche Cayenne prototypes and mules, plus a few renderings that purport to show the real deal, Porsche apparently let the cat out of the bag by mistake... again. On the Porsche website, an image that shows the 2011 Cayenne right in the middle of a family picture magically appeared and was apparently swapped out ...

Spy Shots: New Porsche Cayenne interior spotted 1230301800
It appears to be official: the Panamera interior that this particular blogger loves but has been almost universally reviled by everyone else is Porsche's new interior design language. A refreshed Cayenne has been photographed with an instrument panel directly descended from that of the Panamera four-door super "coupe" (sedan, really). The new Cayenne center ...

Hello, what's this? Lambo SUV or Porsche GT Coupe? 1188484020
Just like the NSX mule that's been spotted ripping around, this Porsche Cayenne is masquerading as something it's not. What the end result actually is remains a mystery, but something's using fat-ass über-SUV duds to fly incognito. Motor Authority reports that there's a Lamborghini LM002 successor lurking under there. The Lambo-ute successor reportedly ...

Spy Photos: Porsche 911 again 1172582880
It hasn't been very long since we last brought you some spy shots of the freshened 911, but when another pic popped up, we felt we had to share. After all, this is our favorite rear-engined sports car. Returning even closer to its roots, the two-beam round headlamps and larger air inlets look very 993 Turbo. The cleaner look should be an improvement that ...

Porsche Cayenne facelift caught sans camo 1156503720
Car & Driver has the latest, greatest spy photos of the facelifted Porsche Cayenne that won't be seen in these here parts until MY 2008. The new nose is crisp and organized -- a clear improvement over the current car, but that's really not saying much. To this day, it's difficult to fathom how such a boring design got approved to wear the Porsche badge. ...

Odd-looking Porsche Cayenne mules have been spurring rumors that a Bentley SUV is in the works, with some reporting that Bentley insiders are calling the project the Cross Continental. Reilly Brennan over at Winding Road went straight to the source and asked Bentley's new general manager for public relations, David P. Reuter, whether or not there was any ...

Fresh Pepper: Facelifted Cayenne Spied 1154084640
British car mag Auto Express snagged spy shots of the updated Porsche Cayenne that's coming later this year. While the bodywork remains generally unchanged, a new front fascia and a mildly revised rear are in the cards for Stuttgart's SUV. In front, new headlights take up residence above a revised bumper that now features round integrated foglights (as ...
