Started in 1926, Pontiac's demise ends an 89-year-long operation responsible for such automotive legends as the GTO and Aztek, two vehicles that made the brand famous for very different reasons.

HPP teases Firebird, Camaro customs for SEMA 1288137480
We've seen companies attempt to turn the Chevrolet Camaro into a Pontiac Trans-Am, but the results are often mixed at best. Heide Performance Products, a customizing company out of Madison Heights, MI, is looking to change that. Is it successful? Apparently, there are more Trans Am-obsessed Pontiac aficionados in the world than we initially suspected. While we have a major soft spot in our hearts for the old Poncho F-Bodies, we'd never actually go to the trouble of converting a perfectly good 2010 Camaro into something featuring T-tops and emblazoned with tons of Screaming Chickens. Some, though, ...

SEMA Preview: 638-horsepower Pontiac G8 GXP Street Concept 1225556700
Click above for a high resolution image One of the best parts about SEMA is getting to see the manufacturers build cars they might not otherwise. Take this G8 GXP Street Concept, for example. Sure, the 415-horsepower 6.2L V8 in the standard G8 GXP is plenty good enough, but why not stuff the new LSX454 crate engine from GM Performance Parts underneath the ...
