What will Vdub call the stupid swivel seats??? 'Rotate and Continue' perhaps...... It's still a Chrysler with a fancy, schmancy VW emblem. V-dub should just redo the Eurovan again and take it a little more retro.... with all the stoner boomers getting ready to retire and all of their disposable income, they will want to get back into their hippie vans. RE-LIVE THE DREAMS
And of all the manufacturers to partner with... they pick chrysler... Why not mazda or toyota or honda? Most VW people are gonna find the interior cheap... and non vw like
And unlike the Passat, this one isn't trendy in the least, not to mention VW kept the sketchy powertrain that Chrysler provided... WV should introduce a 3.6l 280hp version of this with DSG and 4MOTION awd and factory Recaro seats for the first 2 rows...
I think it's an AWESOME VAN! Very well executed... and to be truthful (let's be honest) the quality will be waaaay over VW quality in recent years. What the heck? People buy clothing with little POLO and GATOR emblems on them, including many counterfeits... so the VW emblem might actually add credibility to what is an excellent vehicle. Fickle consumers-- like many posters here-- really don't want to endorse a classic American brand, so if a little 'VW' emblem and character makes the difference then what the heck?
Question: Why is VW quality so dismal (ask any honest dealer or VW owner with 60K+ miles) and Audi's be so apparently GOOD? Trust me, the longevity and quality of these vans will outperform any VW product offering... history will tell...
