A new Volkswagen crossover may be joining the Passat at the German automaker's Chattanooga, Tennessee factory, a facility recently in the news lately due to grumblings over an increasing potential for UAW unionization. Following the death of the Routan minivan, Volkswagen is in desperate need of a three-row family hauler, and our best guess is that void will be filled by a production version of the Cross Blue Concept (shown above) we saw earlier in the year at the Detroit Auto Show. Unfortunately, it sounds like a decision has still yet to be on a Cross Blue-based crossover.
