I,d opt for the latest ol 4.3 in pure stock form. The resulting performance would be just as satisfying & not so ragged/rough.
My rep, such as it was, was earned stuffing stock olds & caddys in
50,s era fords & chevys. decent performance w/o overheating, rough idling & a host of other problems associated w/modifieds.
