I HAVE NEVER BEEN A BIG FAN OF THE CORVETTE. I HAVE ALWAYS LIKED THE BODY STYLES OF THE EARLY 60'S AND THE LATE 50'S CORVETTE. AFTER 1968 I DIDNT LIKE THE LOOKS OF THEM VERY MUCH AND IN THE 80'S AND 90'S THEY LOOKED TO MUCH LIKE A CAMARO TO ME. THE CURRENT BODY STYLE (THE FRONT OF THE CAR) REMINDS ME OF THAT SMILING CHESHIRE CAT IN ALICE IN WONDERLAND. THE CAR LOOKS LIKE IT'S SMILING AT YOU WITH A STUPID GRIN ON IT'S FACE. AND THATS WHY I NEVER REALLY WANTED TO OWN ONE. BUT THIS BODY STYLE IS ONE BADASS LOOKING CAR. THIS WOULD BE A VETTE I WOULD BE PROUD TO OWN. IT LOOKS LIKE IT COULD FLY AND BEAT THE HELL OUT OF ANYTHING THAT GOT IN IT'S WAY. THIS HAS TO BE THE BEST LOOKING CORVETTE THAT GM HAS MADE IN YEARS. YES I AM IMPRESSED GM. THANK YOU FOR FINALLY MAKING ONE BAD ASS LOOKING VETTE. I HOPE THESE ARE OUT SOON. I WANT ONE. (IN BLACK OF COURSE)
I own a 2007 Z06 and a 1975 L82 Stingray so its safe to say that unlike this guy, I love vettes and always have (OK, I'm not a big fan of C4 styling). My dream vette is a '67 Stinger w/427. But I really like my modern 427 (LS7). Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. That being said, if you dont like them, dont buy them. A car should move you...physically and emotionally. Some cars you drive with your head, some with your heart, and if you own a Z06...you drive it with your balls. I can tell you this for sure, I take great pleasure in blowing the doors off euro-snobs in their BMW M-whatever's that they paid waaaaay too much money for and even more pleasure stomping Japanese, Dodge, and Ford trash. And all the time my Z06 has a "stupid" grin on it's face; saying "yeah...I just busted your ass. I lived in Germany for four years which gave me a different perspective of BMW's and the like. Simply put, it's a German Ford...nothing special; except in the minds of snobby Americans. Oh the power of marketing. In Germany, BMW's will always be second fiddle to MB. This is more evident on the F-1 tracks around the world. Back to the task at hand...the "Z03." Would I buy it? Sure. Will it be produced? I doubt it. At least not in any numbers to be a significant player. It will probably only be a concept which GM borrows ideas from.
