This truck is nice for a select few who may need this, but what about the other 99% of us who just want a full sized, quailty built truck that gets decent milage. I bought a new Tundra and have to say I'm disappointed. It gets the same mpg as my old F-350, what's up with that !!! PLUS, I can't put a decent plow on the Tundra because the front end wont handle the weight!! Made in america by americans, I wouldn't brag about that! John
This truck looks like a work of art. But driving a F-350 & F-450, for a living pulling a gooseneck with 24 full bins of olives is a different ball game. It seperates the men from the boys. I would like to see this Toyota Rigged in 4x4 with a Mega Cab like Dodge and a Long Bed like Ford. Because of the weight I carry I some times have to use four wheel drive to get the Fords going off road! a regular two wheel drive would not venture where I go. Also note that True four wheel drive is all 4 wheels pulling not the 3 wheels that pull on regular four wheel drives. Unless you purchase a positrack rearend or locking differential you more than likely do not have true 4 wheel drive. I would like to test this machine for Toyota and see if it is worth trading in our Fords.
personally Im a ford f-250 man. This tundra is bold, and rugid looking. If they could only put a cummings motor no less than 400 horsepower at the rear tires, an alison automatic six speed transmission, and a dana drive line. OH, and it would'nt hurt to have a straight four wheel drive front axel, this would be the perfect truck. Build it and they will come. So what are you waiting for. If its built, with these specs, looks like i'll personally be a toyota man.

I wouldn't put a plow on a 1/2 ton truck either.
This is exactly what Toyota needs to do. The 3500/F350/F450 market is an important one.
