When it comes to sweet-sounding V8s, there are few outfits around the globe that can match the work of Mercedes-Benz's AMG division. The in-house performance group has blessed us with such masterpieces of metal as the iconic 6.2-liter V8, code-named M156, the supercharged V8 from the McLaren SLR, code-named M155, and the 6.2-liter V8 found in the SLS AMG, code-named M159.

More details about Mercedes-Benz's forthcoming Mercedes-AMG GT continue to drip out. As opposed to launching the new sports coupe all at once, the brand has been slowly divulging information like its interior and some shadowy peeks on video. Even in testing, Mercedes is being cheeky by dressing it in bright green, tiger-striped camouflage that's hard to miss, but shows little. The latest trio of videos gives us a great idea of just how the GT sounds, though.

Daimler is preparing to launch its new performance flagship, the Mercedes-AMG GT. Succeeding and slotting below the current SLS AMG, the new GT is anticipated to take aim squarely at the Porsche 911. The German automaker gave us a pretty clear picture of what the interior will look like last month, and we've seen spy shots of the car testing (see below), but has now returned with a teaser video and micro-site previewing the upcoming new Benz halo.

Apparently, Mercedes-Benz got around to celebrating Saint Patrick's Day a little late this year because there isn't much else that could explain this eye-catching green and black tiger-striped test car rolling through a very crowded Barcelona street. The vehicle in question is the latest collaboration between the Three-Pointed Star and AMG that is taking the place of the SLS in the near future. An official name for this new model hasn't been disclosed yet, but we've heard it called either the SL
