Man I love Mazdas, and rotaries. I had a blast with the white 1990 FC3S Convertible Rx-7 I used to own. I even won a couple local TSD rallies with it. (But of course you could do that in a Geo Metro... anyways...) 13b 6-port Rotaries are a hoot, even when they're not turbo'd. I like the Rx-8 ok, but I've been waiting patiently for the return of the true RX-7. I really like what I see so far. Bigger displacement is huge in a rotary. Just taking the displacement to 1.6L, or 1.8L would be a tremendous improvement in power. Rotaries have always been low torque, high horse engines. Hopefully they've found a way to dialed a bit more torque in with the boost in displacement. Now let's see of they can sneek that dirty, oil sucking, fuel swilling wonder past CAFE/EPA. Bring it on!
I wonder if this is a 2+2, but the suicide doors on the RX-8 have to go. Those doors only look nice as a design but in function. The Mini Clubman offers those doors too, but I hope it is not as tight at the RX-8. I hope the RX-7 will indicate where all future RX-8's go direction wise.

It looks a little like it was stolen from the AD Police's garage, but hey, I'm very excited to hear about new rotarys!!!
