Suggest looking at the Land Rover Defender 110 series for pickups. Given that Land Rover cannot or will not adapt their essential Defender design to meet North American environmental and safety standards mandated in 1998, why not bring to bear some of LR's features within Jeep's own JT design? For example, a diesel engine would appeal to the working person while at the same time appeal to his/her recreational desires. Moreover, there are persons in North America who are frustrated, given that they can no longer purchase a Defender. Why not therefore sieze the day?
