it looks nice ...I am a devout Mercedes driver but need to drive something nice to keep the miles off. I hope the outside visuals is equal to an Audi the interior equal to the toyota and the ride better than the old Malibu. I'll have to test drive this one ...but it looks good
For all you people that are looking at the new Malibu, you might want to take a closer look. You say it will compete against the Camry. Guess what? It is the Camry and it is even built in Tenn. It is not the first time GM has used Toyota Cars and rebadged them. The Pontiac Vibe is the Toyota Matrix and the Pontiac G6 looks a lot like the Toyota Solara. I would never buy a GM or a Toyota. There is a reason why GM is falling like a lead balloon.
I GUESS YOU KNOW THIS WILL "KILL OFF" THE REMAINING IMPALA'S. IT LOOKS TO MUCH BETTER AND FANCIER THAN THE IMPALA. OR IS THAT THE PLAN? MAYBE A NICE FACE LIFT AND BACK TO ROUD TAIL LIGHTS FOR THE IMPALA. HOWEVER I WOULD BE INTERESTED IN A BASIC MODEL NEW MALABU. I THINK IT IS THE BEST LOOKING CHEVY OUT SINCE YOU KILLED OFF THE 1990 AND OLDER CAPARICE. OF COURSE I AM 56 SO WHAT DO I KNOW. LOL.
B-You're way off on your GM-Toyota remark. The new Malibu is NOT a rebadged Toyota. While it's true that GM and Toyota have collaborated since the 1986 Chevy Nova/Toyota Corolla, but the new Malibu is not a NUMMI (New United Motor Manufacturing, Inc.) product. It is built on GM's worldwide Epsilon platform and is not a Toyota in any way, shape or form. And the Pontiac G6 is also NOT a Toyota in any way. Please get your facts straight before making a comment like that.
