I think you need to make a 50's Cruiser. Give it some wide white wall tires and new grill and a lot more chrome. Maybe a woody and make it a production car. Also you might try a pickup, very popular in that price range. Lots of ideas with this car. You can keep it alive for years and make money since it's already in production. Perhaps continue retro styling along the lines of 48 Buick? or a take-off of a Cord 810?
