Well congratulations you just designed the Ford Mustang. And, this looks too much like the original to be called an original design. I like the lines on the car and I liked them when I first saw them a couple of years ago. The Camero was too much of an original when it came out for you guys to settle with this fairly obvious look alike. Sorry I am not seeing anything new here.
The Camaro was not a practical car for me when it first came out..needed more spac e but I have always loved its simple, yet muscular lines...Now that I am older I would buy one in a heart beat..DON"T change it at all...please. Who do I write the check to??
....very disapointed! From the photos I can't tell if it's the next generation of the mustang or another Chrysler exercise. Not enough design details that recall the 69 Camero or any of the years following. As shown, I don't think the public is going to have the anticipated reaction that fans of the Mustang had. The GM design team should go back to the drawing board with more of the guys who actually were in their early prime when the Camero came out.....this new incarnation just dosn't seem to have the passion that I remember......and my best friend still has his 69 convertible from when we were in highschool (we graduated in 1975). We just have to step out into his garage and to flash back to our youth. We seem to be doing that alot of late since we both will turn 50 this year. Good Luck Gm design team....you have alot of mid life people's memories in your hands!
Anybody can design a new look. The key is to strongly resemble the original. That's why the new Mustang is such a hit! I'm not a Ford guy, but my first view of the Mustang said to me that's what the Camaro needs. So, for me (I'm class of '75 also), the more retro the better, even more than the Mustang. Tom C. has it backwards. This is a once in a lifetime chance to really recognize and celebrate the beauty of the original '69.
