Subaru is recalling over 32,000 units of the 2012 Impreza because the Occupant Detection System might not work correctly for the front passenger seat. This can cause the airbag not to deploy in a crash.

NHTSA is opening an investigation into the 2012 Subaru Impreza that could affect an estimated 33,500 cars. In the vehicles, the Occupant Detection System might not correctly identify the passenger and not deploy the airbags in a collision.
