GM is smart in making the most of the publicity; you know the Volt on display will hit every newspaper's front page.
I wonder if Ford has a Hybrid Fusion ready enough to do the same thing: start off in the Hybrid Escape, switch to the Fusion, and display the Fusion. Oh, but Mulally was thought to already be on his way. It would certainly pay to overnight truck the Hybrid Fusion that's already been displayed to DC for Thursday's 'event'.
