I'm not too impressed with the new look. It's like someone was trying to make the Mustang look a little like the new Camero & Charger with the swoped down front grill and the ass of the Mustang is not the sexy one it is known for. The interior has improved, but you lost me with the exterior. I'll buy an older model still and Ford can keep this one.
I agree that the exterior look resembles that of a Charger or Camero with the boxier rear end. They geared far away from what an actual Mustang is supposed to look like. The interior is okay and the accessories are pretty cool but other than that a TOTAL disappointment with the exterior look!
i own a 05 model, but really don't like the backend of the new model. not to much in love with the dash either. looks to much like a sedan rather than a sports car. the lighted door seals look nice, along with the pleated door panels. guess i will have to keep the 05 or switch to the chevy z-28.
I like the new center stack but not the gauges. As far as the exterior? Man am I glad I've already got an S197. the only thing I like about the exterior of the 2010 is the hump on the rear fenders ala 1967 fastback. That's what the 2005 should have come with in my opinion. The rear view of this car is butt ugly (no punn intended). Waaaay too much area from the bottom of the tail lights to the bottom of the rear fascia.
Not sure I like the 2010...I have a 2006 GT and it has a MUCH better look...interior and exterior. I was contemplating a 2010 convertible, but now that I see what they'll look like, will keep my 06. It's too bad they already have to change what is already a hit. Am glad they're keeping the V8...was afraid they'd tone down the engine, which would REALLY suck. Gas mileage or no gas mileage, I'll have a V8 as long as I can...don't want no dinky no power car. And that's coming from a woman I'll have you know!! Had a 1996 Mustang GT before...loved it except for the traction in the winter. The 2006 can actually maneuver the Wisconsin snow! The 2010 - what happened to the spoiler??????? I think they need to do some work on the design before they'll sell this one...and the rims...yuck, who wants black inserts in the rims!
I AGREE THAT THEY SHOULD HAVE LEFT THE EXTERIOR ALONE I DO LIKE THE INTERIOR. I JUST HOPE THEY PUT A LARGER ENGINE IN THESE LIKE THE 5.4 WITH AT LEAST 400HP IF NOT THE CAMARO IS GOING TO EAT IT UP. ASSUMMING THE CAMARO IS RELEASED AND DOESN'T FLOP LIKE THE CHALLENGER. I HAVE AN 06 GT AND I THINK I WILL STICK TO IT UNLESS FORD DOES PUT OUT A BETTER ENGINE
I HAVE TO CHIME IN ON ALL THESE GM AND MOPAR LOVES SAYING HOW GREAT THE CAMARO AND CHALLENGER ARE. FIRST, WITH GM'S ISSUES IT WOULDN'T SURPRISE ME IF THEY DROP THE CAMARO. THE CHALLENGER IS A FLOP SALES FIGURES ARE HORRIBLE THE TOTAL SALES OF CHALLENGER ARE LESS THEN THE MONTH OF OCT. SALES ON THE MUSTANG. THE DEALERS ARE ALREADY DISCOUNTING THEM. NOW ABOUT THE MUSTANG BEING SLOWER, RIGHT THE 300 HP MUSTANG SMOKES THE CHALLENGER. AND I WON'T EVEN RESPOND TO THE IDIOTS SAYING THAT THE V6 CAMARO WILL BEAT THE MUSTANG . NOW FOR REAL WORLD NO.'S ABOUT THE MUSTANG BEING EXPENSIVE , RIGHT I BOUGHT MY 2006 GT PREMIUM FOR $23300. I HAVE APPROX. $1500 IN MODS ON IT. I HAVE 52,000 MILES ON IT ITS MY DAILY DRIVER 75-100 MILES EVEY DAY IT RUNS CONSISTANTLY 12.6 ON THE STRIP. SO FOR PEOPLE THAT DON'T GET IT THATS $24800 FOR A 12 SEC RELIABLE CAR. I ALSO OWN A CHRYSLER PRODUCT WHAT A JOKE IT BEEN IN THE SHOP A DOZEN TIMES FOR MAJOR REPAIRS. NEVER AGAIN. I ALSO HAVE A FEW GM FREINDS WITH CAMAROS 2 WITH SS'S MY CAR SMAKES ALL OF THEM THER CARS , SOME WITH LEES MILAGE HAVE HAD BLOWN 2ND GEAR TRASHED REARENDS. ETC. THEY CAN'T BELIEVE HOW MY MUSTANG HAS BEEN AND HOW EASY AND CHEAPLY IT IS TO MODIFY. JUST THOUGHT I WOULD PUT IN MY 2 CENTS
