Typical hyundai. No new design language, same tired interior ( materials are fine, they just ripped off others yet again!) same ripping off others. If hyundai really wants to compete, don't just build a cheap copy of something else. Passengers will be impressed thats its a hyundai, but not that its a hyundai. (think about it) Anyone getting out of a BMW, or lexus and in to this will say, look its got (blank) like mine! Anyone with any real money will buy the original, posers will buy these.
Very nice car, even if the styling is derivative of others. This shows that Hyundai knows what it is doing to make inroads in the American marketplace. If the price stay reasonable, this car shouldn't have any trouble finding buyers. I'm in the market for a new car this year, and the Genesis will definitely be on my shopping list.
Another great stride for Hyundai. Innovative and exciting company. I own 3 Hyundai's and will purchase the Genesis. This company is on the move and I like it!!!
I own a 2006 Azera which I truly love. I call it the 'poor man's Lexus.' I spot multiple parts from my Azera on this new Genesis. Where are the MPG stats? Get me excited about this new V8 will you. My 3.8L V6 gets 21 around town and 28 mpg highway. Can I get more power and almost as much MPG? I could afford a Lexus but I choose to get the quality of an Azera and go on a great cruise to Costa Rica with the difference in $$$.
Yes, it looks like a great car, though there some copy, or rather undefiness in its style, it has some of many european best sellers. Anyhow, we own an Azera, 3.3, good car. It came with a knocking sound in the motor when it starts, that goes off after 3 seconds. The distributor says its normal. Will the new Genesis, come also with such motor knocking details, after all these pro's????
"anyone with real money...." such a closed minded minded approach. shame. I'll bet you would have thrown stones at the lexus ls400 when it came out too huh. I'm glad you have real money and evidently lots of it (with gas approaching 4$ a gallon).
for me...all i want is the size and quietness of a lexus ls430 with the economy of V6, and all the bells and whistles of a Cadillac. I'm hopeful the genesis will be THE car.
fyi, the MPG stats for the Genesis have been added to the www.fueleconomy.gov website. small V6: 21 / 27 hwy, big V6: 18 / 27 hwy. V8 is not listed yet.
