Hey!!You're defenitely wrong!!!!!! This photo isn't the new ford fiesta......is the new ford's compact named Fly....it'll be sale in Brazil in early 2008 replacing Ford Ká. I'm Brazilian and i know what i'm writting
Okay, listen here brai, you may be from brazil, but you aren't the be all and end all of freaking car knowledge. Also the world doesn't begin and end with brazil.
Let's take a look at what is wrong with your statement. First off, the car that is replacing, the Ka, isn't even sold in the US. We have no subcompacts like this at all in the US. And it is very very common for them to call virtually the same car different things depending on the market. What was essentially the Mercury Cougar in the states, was called something completely different in Europe.
And yes, this is the new Ford Fiesta. A buddy of mine works at a Ford Dealership and went to a conference recently, and this is what will be the Fiesta *in the US*
Every stopped to think for one moment that they may call the same car, two different things, in two different countries?
gothicx00, I can't think of a way to be any more rude. Congrats.
Really impressive how you manage to win an argument while respecting the other person!
Why you seem so pissed over a car (ugly by any country's standards, by the way) is beyond me, but I guess this is what makes *YOU* such a great dude... Bask in your douche-iness...
Oh........relax! I wrote it because this car has a poor engine...the new ford fiesta will be much better than it....like a Mazda 2.
Do you really think this car is the new ford fiesta???Come on!!!
If it is the new Ford Fiesta..........................................Poor americans.
Have you ever seen the Brazilian and the European Ford Fiesta???? I Know U.S. will have the Ford Fiesta......and it will be muuuuucchhhhh better than Ford Fly[photo].
If i'm wrong....I'm sorry. I only wrote my informations about it.
gothicx00, although you may consider my opinion biased, because i`m a brazilian as well, this is NOT the new Fiesta, this is exactly, as Gustavo has written, a revamping of the old KA/Fiesta platform, still on sale in Brazil.
This car is not likely to be sold uswide but certainly will interest the mexican market. Mexico and Brazil have a quota based agreement that allows lower taxes on imports between both countries.
If you want some proofs of what we are saying, just compare the doors between this photos and a regular Ford Ka.
gothicx00, there is no need to say you are an american.
Am I the only one who finds the similarity? The car pictured is said to be 3.75 meters long, but the current European Fiesta is 3.90+ meters. They would not make it shorter for the U.S.
this is the Ka´s replacement in Brazil, named until now, as "Fly"
just see at the page that toti write in his post. it´s the same car, the license plate is that we use here in Brazil and we have many magazines that have spoted this car in tests here.
The base of the new Fiesta is the Madza 2 with i don´t find any similarity with this prototype in the photos.
We all must be bored with life if all we have to write about is an ugly car!!! It does not make any difference...KA, FIESTA, or the little KIA from Korea with a Ford badge on it, all still pieces of crap! Bring back the Ford Pinto!!!
Anyway, I was laughing at the camouflage... I mean really... if you wanted to hide what the car is.. .why add the little blue oval badge? Take that off, and it could be one of a hundred cars.
Why must a large majority of my American brothers be such abrasive, disrespectful human beings? I am really starting to hang my head in shame, but it's not my fault where I was born, right?

This explains why Ford dropped the Focus Hatch for '08. If it looks like the new Mazda 2 from the Geneva show, I'll be buying one. Can't wait!
