are they testing GM's new rear drive platform against a discontinued magnum and some crazy looking truck (maybe the new el camino?) Is that a different malibu, on the top back of the truck, or some type of citrogen or vauxhall?
Jared, thats not a Magnum. its the New Holden VE Commodore Sportwagon. and the "truck" is a Holden Ute in HSV form probably. and the rest are Commodores in different trims.
OK lets get this straight. The white car is a Holden Statesman/Caprice, which is a long-wheelbase luxury version of the Commodore (which is a Pontiac G8 in American guise). Just go to http://www.holden.com.au for a clearer description. However this particular example seems to be a Middle-Eastern export model, hence the Chevrolet badge on the grille.
The car beneath it is a pre-production Commodore wagon, revealed as the Holden Sportswagon concept at the Australian International Motor Show in Sydney last October.
The 'crazy looking truck' is the HSV version of the new Holden Ute, known as the HSV Maloo. Just to clarify things, HSV is to Holden as AMG is is Mercedes, M is to BMW, etc.
