yeah, eek. Not sure if I'd buy it with all that shiny ungrained plastic, unspeced gaps and tape everywhere. But I sure hope it comes with all those nifty wires all over the passenger side. tie-downs!
i wonder how much the shipper got paid for those pics
Anyone think that might be the V6 version? The drivers seat isn't a powered seat and is cloth.
Another thing, it does look a bit cheap but its also dirty and plain gray. Its a pre production prototype and there can be some significant changes before production. Also there is pricing to consider. GM probably wants to keep this thing within a stones throw of the Mustang in terms of pricing. Considering the platform with IRS, the engines available (I'm guessing the 3.6 from the CTS will be in there) then they have to cut back somewhere.. I just hope it doesn't look as cheap as the interior does in my 06 Mustang.
That shift lever looks like it's covered up. Look at the bottom, how it looks like it tapers up to a nice chrome ball. Please tell me I'm right. The rest of the interior looks fug. The knobs look straight out of a minivan. Nasty. WTF?
that people are critisizing the materials amuses me... do you not realize that this is a test mule? that interior is just thrown together.. the materials and even some of the parts.. certainly the fit and finish.. are not even close to what we will see for pruduction...
however.. the general design theme... dual-square guage bezels.. bulbous centerconsole... those are likely to stay.. cant say i'm a big fan.. but they stayed close to the concept car's design (which i was never a big fan of) so i can't really complain
first off, that rim is ugly as hell. I hope it goes chrome for the production model. Second. If its winter in the US, its summer for them. Its the other side of the world. So the pic is recent if it was taken in summer. I hope the interior gets better in the production model, otherwise I think it will sink. Otherwise the exterior pics without camo look great, just need to work on headlights and rims.
PLEASE ! Tell me this is the real interior- been dreaming of a new Camaro since seeing the first show car- my first new GM car since the '88 Grand National Buick. Now it looks like I may not have to make a car payment- interior has the ambiance of my old Metro!!
That interior is so unbalanced it gives me the creeps. The door panel suggest flowing into the dash then dies at the hinge. Round gauges shoved into square towers. It hurts to look at it. Air vents visually dominating the center stack and stretched out to fill the space. Wrong. Radio and HVAC module protruding from the ring in the dash like a constipated turd with big chunks of something stuck in it and squeezing out of a stretched butt. Tasteless. Cute guages buried below the above mentioned orifice. Useless. And that steering wheel. Gad it's ugly, unbalanced, and counter-intuitive to performance driving. High or low quality, I would not spend one hour in this cockpit.
Does Chevy really think they can charge $35k - $41k with that cheap looking interior. What the $*@! happend to the concept car we have been teased with for the last two years at auto shows and all over the internet??? It's hard to tell with the cover, but the exterior looks completely different than the concept versions as well. I'm a big Camaro fan, but c'mon Chevy, give us more bang for our buck here, and build the car in the concept photos (inside and out), and don't wait until 2015 to do it or many of us might just switch over to the decent looking Mustang, or better yet, that new Hemi Challanger coming out later this year.

I like the "Contains less than 10 liters of fuel" tag on the top.. won't have to look too far if someone steals it.
