There is nothing to hate about the gobs of torque available in the diesel-powered BMW X5 xDrive35d, but the fact that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced a recall for broken idler pulley bolts might be a bad example of the engine's strength. In addition to the recall, InsideLine is also reporting that BMW has issued stop-sale for all vehicles still in dealer inventory.

Our love for all things diesel is tempered this morning with the news of a recall affecting a certain oil-burning German SUV.
