All prior photos I've thought, "meh". But for some reason, I think thesilver car in the pictures just looks really good - but only thesilver car. Maybe a combination of the best angles and composition orsomething?
It's a WRX STi who cares what the car looks like, I never liked the last gen Impreza and the previous one to that was even worse but either one I would buy in a heartbeat if given the chance. The out of the box performance and possibility of the WRX is amazing so hopefully this latest gen will live up to it's previous incarnations.
I've always hoped for the wagon/hatch vesion STI to become available. Now that it's here I'm not sure about the overall styling. It feels like the STI has interbred with too many models. It looks somewhat ford/mazda/euro and has dumbed down it's rally inspired aggressive roots. Refined or generic to accomodate the masses? The wide front fenders have appeal. The rear is clean. Though the lines overall are blocky and feel a bit over done. The front bumper/foglights are hideous and cheap looking. Dual exhaust? Does it still have an unequal exhaust manfold? Does it still rumble? The performance of a WRX/STI is discovered and brought out with mods. OEM bores me. Manufacturer warranties are for Prius drivers. The front bumper couldn't accomodate a FMIC very well, the hole seems small and doesn't create very good lines to cut across. The new specs aren't all that impressive. What happened to the claims that it would be much more powerful/technologically advanced than an EVO? I'm not really seeing it. I'm sure Mitsubishi is loving it more than the die-hard Suby enthusiasts. I have a 06' WRX wagon modded that will blow it away for less $dollars$ spent. Though I did like the new 08 WRX more in person than in pics. Perhaps the STI looks better in person. At least there is finally a wagon, but I feel sorry for the sedan only enthusiast.
gay. not overly powerful. my spec v looks better. Only certain manufactures can pull off the "tough" look with a hatchback, but apparently subaru can't this time around.
I think this car would look really good in different colors. I dont' know...how 'bout a RED!!!! STi. Every one wants a red sports car. Come on Subaru, get with the program. Maybe bring back the Yellow with some sick Black leather seats. And where's the sunroof?
The previous generation Impreza was one of those looks only mother could love, but the new one has something to it... It is ugly enough, but functional, that it approaches beautiful! You know the theory that if you go beyond the absolute zero point it starts getting warmer again... Subaru Impreza may just have cracked the same secret as BMW 1-series, ugly enough to be beautiful!!
Where to start, well, I can't get over the fact that the styling of this car is reminiscent to the Suzuki Reno, I could live with the grill but that bumper has to go. I can't wait to see what the aftermarket industries have done to remedy this defect. The fog lights are always cool but that bezel that raps around it, man whose idea was that? I love this car but I wouldn't trade in my00 for one. I think I’ll wait for a sedan model (bring back the 2door).

I think this car looks great! I test drove it, and it was'nt a rocket, but it was pretty impressive. Also I think they look better in person. I'm planning on getting a silver one. Great city car!

Not really impressed at all, reminds me of the hatchback focus cross with a mazda. Thumbs down for me, and no that's not even a more muscle look.
