Am I missing something? Aside from the boost, temp, fuel combo gauge that looks like an updated one from a classic 900 turbo, I fail to see how this 9-3 captures the essence if the classic 99 and 900 turbos. It is my belief that with the purchase of SAAB General Motors was looking to create its own BMW. I think I speak for many SAAB afficionados when I say that if I wanted a BMW I would have just bought one. And that is what I did. When I read the early buzz regarding the TurboX being an evolution of the 99 and 900 models I had seriously hoped this new SAAB would have been in the form of a visually enhanced and streamlined 2 door coupe/hatchback with possibly Infiniti G35 levels of performance. However, what GM has produced is a hi-perf. 9-3 that evokes little more emotion than an Accord or Camry.
