I am happy Honda did not go the route like the 06 civic, which was a major redesign on the aggressive side (I currently own the 06 civic, with many problems).
Not bad but not great, kinda middle of the road on this one.
The coupe is a much sharper looking car than the sedan. I have owned several Hondas and never had problems with any of them. I just got rid of my 02 CRV but didnt buy the new CRV as they made it smaller and narrower and I wanted bigger. For the same money I bought a Santa Fe, I know it isnt the same quality as the Honda and the resale value wont be the same but I thought it was time for something new.
In 1979 when my husband and I were looking for a new car , it was the first year Honda had come out with the four door. I drove4 it and told my husband this was the car for me. the gears were so smooth and fluid. I have never had another car since. They are the safest and most dependable . i always know it will get me home. A man pulled out in front of me a few years ago and the policeman said if I had been in another car I would be dead. I loved the style of the 2001 but the 2008 doesn't look like a Honda, looks more like a BMW but I will still buy it , after all , It is a Honda! Peggy Narron Hardin
Paul V...you know nothing about car styling. And trust me, the Japanese are going to copy American? Do you listen to the news? Do you know whats happening in Detroit? Get real!
exterior still looks too fat! none of the newer cars look like they could even crawl out of their own way. nothing sleek and forward looking. I'll just keep what I have.
THIS CAR IS UGLY..I'm so disappointed in Honda!! I usually love every Honda/Acura but this one just simply falls under POOR DESIGN!!! They will lose sales due to the design except from those who support Honda alllll the way..even when they produce a saturn/fake BMW 5-series and a Hyundai immitation.
I love Honda Accords and I'm currently driving one now. However, this new one is horrible it definitley reminds me of a Saturn and a Hyundai Sonata. Although the inside is slick. I will not be traded my current one in for this one. Honda needs to redo the next model for 09.
I have a '92 ACCORD- this car has basically given me few problems- it's been a really great car for the fifteen years I've been driving it- I've been holding off getting a new car because I really want another ACCORD- I stand 6'6" and have plenty of space in my '92 but so far Honda hasn't made a single thing I fit into since then- I hope the '08 finally has the space I've been waiting for- Otherwise I'm going to have to go with the Chrystler 300- now there's a car with space...

Was a most disappointed in the '08 Accord exterior, especially the sedan. they look like a throw-back to late 90's models - almost non-descript. how could the Honda honchos have allowed this? i know Honda's reputation for reliability and value, but style/design are most vital. have owned many Hondas of all kinds, currently an '06 Civic Sedan, which i like very much for all reasons - including the dash panels. don't understand some other negative comments about it. it has been marvelous except for a sun visor which did not recede properly. my dealer, a very good one, happily replaced under warranty. even favoring Hondas as much as i have in past, i ventured out to purchase 3 late model Solaras soley because i thought they were gorgeous (inside and out) and excellent quality for the money. i think the '08 exterior Honda designs are complete fiasco, even though interior does look elegant and functional, as usual. guess i will keep my '06 Civic for a while until Toyota develops replacement for the Solara - or a new Buick coupe based on design of their new Enclave. Honda, are you listening ? isn't it just as easy to design a sleek/exciting exterior as the boring one u just presented?
Gorgeous car! Sophisticated interior. Imagine! A beamer with Honda reliability. Nice stuff. Easy to see the BMW style influence - I fail to see the Saturn resemblance some have noted.
Somewhat dissappointing...Front end looks good and side lines remind me of an Acura TL but the back end is boring and looks exactly like a Saturn. I agree the coupe looks much better.
Japanese copying American design? Chevy Malibu??? I think not!!! American carmakers have been copying German car design for years now... The new Pontiacs all look like really poor copies of BMW's. All the luxury brands look like fake Lexus's... especially the crossovers... Buick Enclave... can anybody say Lexus 300 smaller SUV? The new Honda looks great! For years, the auto writers have criticized the bland styling of the Accord... If it resembles anything American, I'd say CTS more than anything else... These people making the Malibu comparison could perhaps use a trip to the optometrist! One more point, on the subject of copying design, the new Lincolns look like hideous, quickly introduced copies of the recent Caddies... The Nav is about the ugliest thing on the road!

Beautiful design with an aggressive flair. Honda has come through again.

New Accord- too big, lousy gas mileage for a Honda, front end looks like a Hyundai Sonata, back end looks like a Saturn.

Another boring Honda. I don't see anything unusual about it. Same old, same old.
