I purchased a brand new 2006 Ford Focus last year for my daughter's birthday. Had I known this model would be the beginning of a WHOLE new era, I would have waited for this model of the NEW FORD FOCUS.
Are you seriously joking? I live in Australia and the Focus over here is SO much better then the craptacular US model! We get a very nice interior, proper engines and much better looks but we also have a Focus hatchback and sedan instead of the US coupe (yuck!) which frankly is very fugly. Ford US cars are crap (except the fab Mustang which should be sold in Australia but Ford are too cheap-ass to make a RHD version for RHD markets such as the UK and South Africa). Poor America having such crap fords!
Wow. I have seen a lot of ugly cars over the years, but this about takes the cake. And it looks ultra-cheap inside and out. I guess folks who have those "Calvin peeing on the Chevy logo" stickers will put it number one on their shopping list, but why would anyone else?
having had four focuses previous i am not sure i would have another after seeing these pictures looks far to much vauxhall like inside and rear end looks like a proton ford is losing it with its design and is begining to build ugly cars maybe it will grow on me seeing it in the flesh may change my opinion time will tell
i am on my third mark 1 focus ( a 2005 1.8tdci) and was gutted when i saw the new mark 2 focus when it was launched back in 2005, it was awful. looked forward to seeing this new 2008 version but it looks even worse - did somebody hit it with an ugly stick? ah, well guess i'll just have to buy a seat leon!

The edginess is gone, it's more mainstream, depending on the price point it'll sell just fine. As to "non tunable" anything is tunable.
