Mercedes Spy Shots
Mercedes-Benz is one of, if not the, oldest surviving automakers in the world. Founded in 1881, the first Mercedes automobile was created in 1886. The German company is now operated by Daimler-Benz and headquartered in Stuttgart, Germany. In addition to producing automobiles, Mercedes-Benz also makes commercial trucks and buses in Europe.

Back in July, Mercedes-Benz officially confirmed plans for an all-new compact crossover, and now we're finally getting our first look at the new model to be called the GLA-Class. Based on the same platform used for the new A-Class and B-Class models, the GLA-Class will go up against the BMW X1. From these spy shots, it looks like the GLA will get a ...
The ever-covert spy photographers at Brenda Priddy & Company have nabbed a fresh one. This time, it's a new Mercedes-Benz that looks to be a mix between an A-Class and the CLS-Class four-door coupe. It is being called the CLA-Class, and it has been caught completely sans-camo in preparation for a shoot in Iceland. The CLA is the much-anticipated ...
Not too much is certifiably known about the 2014 Mercedes-Benz C-Class, but putting together various snippets presents a sedan that will be moving the bar in various directions. Caught at the Nürburgring under comprehensive camo, it's said the styling underneath will take plenty of sculpting cues from the aggressively styled CLS, suggested here by ...
Th unveiling of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series isn't that far off. Prototypes have been popping up in spy photographers' image banks for a while, now we have some video of the hardest SLS AMG the street-legal world will ever know. The specification remains a mystery, though, even down to what engine will find its way tucked well back under that ...
Photographers have managed to snap a handful of photos of the facelifted 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe out and about on public streets. From the looks of things, designers have graced the two-door with a new front fascia, complete with light elements likely borrowed from the E-Class wagon and sedan. Those include integrated LED-daytime running lights ...
If you have the means, we highly recommend picking one up. Sure, Ferris may have spoken those words in reference to a classic Ferrari California – well, actually, a replica of a classic Ferrari – but he could just as easily have been speaking of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class AMG. As we realized the last time we found ourselves ensconced behind ...
Spy photographers clicked off a few images of the newest member of the AMG clan in training. We've already heard Mercedes-Benz is planning a new sports coupe positioned just under the SLS AMG. Designed to take on the Porsche 911, the model will be smaller than its older brother in every way, but it may differ in one other important aspect as well. While ...
We've seen weirder camouflage. But despite the fact that this next-generation Mercedes-Benz S-Class prototype looks like it drove through a garbage bag warehouse, we now have a very clear glimpse at some of the new car's details – namely, the shapely front fascia. Merc's new flagship takes many of its new design cues from the F700 concept that ...
There can be no argument that the Mercedes-Benz E-Class is a handsome sedan, but some changes are underway to make the 2013 model more striking. Our spy shooters caught this wagon, which despite having its front end heavily cloaked, gives up at least a few details. New headlights are hiding beneath all that masking, which will integrate the current ...
Last time we saw the non-AMG skin of the Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake it was bathed in red paint and caked in Arctic snow and grime. Warmer times have brought new shots of a black car – which we'll christen The Scarab – on standard wheels wearing nothing but a shine and a wisp of camo. Its shape has found a way to divide opinion, as the ...
The Mercedes-Benz A25 AMG has disrobed almost completely compared to the last time we saw it. It makes minimal changes to the A-Class form, just a fiercer set of wheels and, under the last remaining camo, a brace of larger air intakes in front and a restyled diffuser in back. We'd also expect those oval pipe finishers to be swapped for trademark AMG quad ...
Mercedes-Benz has a history of offering performance models that would make any niche supercar manufacturer cower. The latest among them is the SLS AMG, but the gullwing coupe and its roadster counterpart aren't the extent of what the German automaker's skunkworks have in store. No, that place of honor at the top of the Mercedes-Benz lineup will soon be ...
When we caught sight of this heavily-cloaked GL-Class last summer, we thought Mercedes-Benz was just refreshing its big SUV with a cosmetic facelift and maybe a new engine. New reports seem to indicate that Mercedes-Benz may be launching an all-new, second-generation GL for 2013, however. According to Car and Driver, the new GL will be based on the ...
With every new set of spy shots, we become increasingly more excited for the launch of the Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake (or is that Break?). This tapered wagon version of the shapely CLS is certainly a looker, even in pre-production, camo-clad protype form, and after giving its shockingly quick sedan counterpart high marks for its driving dynamics, we ...
Mercedes-Benz hasn't exactly been secretive about its desire to offer a five-door hatchback version of its ultra-stylish CLS sedan. After all, the first concept for the latest CLS, which was introduced as a 2012 model, introduced us to the CLS Shooting Break Concept at the Beijing Motor Show in 2010. And yes, MB itself called the car a Shooting Break, not ...
Last we heard, Mercedes-Benz was planning to bring its new A-Class to North America, a market where the current model has never been sold. But whether it makes the trek or not, there's little question that the new premium hatchback will be a vital product for Daimler. While the current A-Class hasn't been a smashing success, the segment has grown into an ...
Our spy photographers have caught the Mercedes-Benz CLC out for a little winter testing. Based on the same platform as the company's A and B-Class vehicles, the CLC should offer buyers a smaller alternative to the Mercedes-Benz CLS. Rumor has it the CLC will be available in both front and all-wheel drive configurations, and AMG is already humming along on ...
Mercedes-Benz is busily pushing development of the company's new A-Class hatchback, and our spy photographers have managed to click a few photos of two vehicles out for a little winter testing. The small five-door is reportedly headed to the U.S. market once it receives an official unveil, though there's no telling whether or not the AMG version we spied ...
Our spy photographers have snapped a few shots of the upcoming Mercedes-Benz G55 AMG and G65 AMG SUVs. The beasts are currently undergoing winter testing in Sweden, and from the looks of things, buyers will be able to chose between two brawny boxes when the vehicles receive an official debut next year. The G55 is likely to feature a 525 horsepower, ...
The smallest member of the Mercedes-Benz utility vehicle range, the GLK-Class has only been on the market for a couple of years now. Hardly in need of an update, then, but that hasn't stopped the Silver Star automaker from working on a little refresh for the boxy little crossover. We first saw spy shots of a facelifted GLK being tested way back in May, ...
