Mercedes Spy Shots
Mercedes-Benz is one of, if not the, oldest surviving automakers in the world. Founded in 1881, the first Mercedes automobile was created in 1886. The German company is now operated by Daimler-Benz and headquartered in Stuttgart, Germany. In addition to producing automobiles, Mercedes-Benz also makes commercial trucks and buses in Europe.

Mercedes-Benz is still keeping its Porsche 911 contender – rumored to be called the SLC – under wraps, but a new set of spy shots gives us our best look yet at the sporty coupe. With production of the SLS AMG winding down, development of the SLC (codenamed C190) is steadily progressing, and while this car still wears plenty of swirly ...
The new Mercedes CLA-Class is still fresh on the market, but recent rumblings have indicated that Mercedes was working on a wagon variant of the car – possibly even in place of a sportier SLA Roadster. Our long-lensed spy shooters have captured our first look at the cargo-friendly CLA model, and while the image is grainy and the car's rear end is ...
The 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class won't be introduced until next year, but we've already seen the new sedan (and wagon) in various states of undress either through spy shots or leaked images. Thanks to a recent photo shoot, we're now seeing the next-gen C-Class – codenamed W205 – fully uncovered from every angle. Our gallery confirms that the car ...
Our spy shooters recently caught this early prototype of the next Mercedes-Benz GLK, and it appears that the boxy little crossover, well, isn't. The very familiar two-box, upright design of the current model (that we all rather like, by the way) looks to be going away in favor of something that's a bit more streamlined and fluid. That's probably just as ...
The next C-Class has been spotted plenty of times already in sedan form, and for the most part, it looks a lot like a small S-Class. But there's another body style that has since been spotted, a C-Class wagon that one of our spies photographed outside Mercedes-Benz' research and development center in Germany. Despite the camouflage, the wagon looks close ...
Mercedes-Benz is already hard at work on development of the S-Class Coupe, the car that will replace the CL-Class and that was previewed as a concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show. And the car in this latest set of spy shots – which our spy photographer claims is an AMG variant based on its aggressive front fascia, quad exhausts and huge brakes ...
Mercedes classifies its models by "class," but as often as not, that comes down to one body-style. Not so the new S-Class, which is destined to push the boundaries of how many variants it can get, even without resorting to BMW-style slantbacks. Daimler's new flagship luxury sedan is already available in two wheelbase lengths (only the longer of which ...
Hot on the heels of a video showing Mercedes-Benz testing its 2014 S65 AMG sedan around the Nürburgring, here's yet another glimpse of the German automaker's luxury flagship sedan, which is set to go on sale in March of 2014. Though the new S65 AMG won't be officially unveiled until this November's LA Auto Show, eagle-eyed Gnepiah caught it naked on ...
Here we have another look at the 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class, and in a silver hue it shows off the S-Class-inspired lines we've been expecting. Make sure you check out both cars in the high-res gallery of spy shots, though; whereas the silver car above hides its hood and trunk, those two features on the dark blue car are mostly exposed while the character ...
As of late, every six years or so, Mercedes-Benz introduces a new sportscar starting with the letters SL. Each one has had some manner of V8 engine, and each successive model tends to be downmarket from the one that came before. There was the SLR McLaren that went into production in 2003 with a 5.4-liter supercharged V8 and a half-million-dollar price ...
A two-and-a-half-ton luxury sedan wouldn't exactly be our first choice for a romp around the Nürburgring. But then Mercedes-AMG has a way of exceeding expectations. To get the new S-Class to run to sixty in 3.9 seconds, Benz's performance studio fitted the S63 with a 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 that sends 577 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque to ...
Last week's reveal of the Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class wasn't a huge shock. We knew the crossover, which shares its platform with the CLA sedan, was coming, and we had suspicions it'd show up online before its official debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show. We also knew, because we're talking about Mercedes, that there'd eventually be a hot AMG variant. Much like ...
The new Mercedes-Benz C-Class has already been spied on this site, but we've yet to have a look at the new compact sedan in motion. Thanks to an intrepid YouTuber, though, we have five videos of the new C on the road. The car(s) in question have a bit more cladding than in our previous spy shots, but several of the new MB familial traits are evident, ...
With the death of its Maybach brand, Daimler will be filling its ultra-luxury sedan portfolio with a version of the redesigned Mercedes-Benz S-Class called the S600 Pullman. While it's not totally clear if the car shown here is the new Pullman, we can easily see from these spy shots that this is not your run-of-the-mill stretch job. Comparing this car to ...
When the new Mercedes-Benz A-Class entered production last summer, we were told in the accompanying press release that its platform would support the B-Class and "a further three sporty and emotive vehicles, including a coupé and an SUV." The hidden cameras at KGP have captured the SUV part of that equation, the GLA small crossover, in the Rocky ...
Although our recent spy shots of the next-generation Mercedes-Benz C-Class revealed a mostly uncovered look at the sedan's profile, these latest images give us our best look yet at its front end. Caught performing some hot-weather tests, this sedan is devoid of any major camouflage obscuring the fascia, grille and headlights, showing off what is clearly ...
Mercedes has handed out "spy shots" of its sub-SLS AMG sports car prototype, which tells us that this on-again/off-again product is most definitely on again. Looking smaller than the company's SLS AMG in these first shots of a running prototype, it nevertheless appears to retain the same basic shape as the larger halo car with a long hood and the cabin ...
Despite looking fresh and fancy as ever, the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG is nearly four years old now. Its design was first shown to the world at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, and judging by these spy photos, it looks like a couple of small changes are in order for Merc's gullwing baby (or not, seeing as how the test car spied this time around happens to the ...
We aren't expecting to see the next-generation Mercedes-Benz C-Class until the 2014 Detroit Auto Show next January, but our quick-snapping spy shooters managed to catch a prototype being pulled out from under the covers. In these shots, we can clearly see that the new C-Class will take many of its design cues from the larger E- and S-Class sedans – ...
