Mercedes Spy Shots

Mercedes-Benz is one of, if not the, oldest surviving automakers in the world. Founded in 1881, the first Mercedes automobile was created in 1886. The German company is now operated by Daimler-Benz and headquartered in Stuttgart, Germany. In addition to producing automobiles, Mercedes-Benz also makes commercial trucks and buses in Europe.

Spy Shots: Mercedes-Benz S-Class ain't no bag lady
    1337716740

We've seen weirder camouflage. But despite the fact that this next-generation Mercedes-Benz S-Class prototype looks like it drove through a garbage bag warehouse, we now have a very clear glimpse at some of the new car's details – namely, the shapely front fascia. Merc's new flagship takes many of its new design cues from the F700 concept that ...

Spy Shots: Mercedes-Benz E-Class facelift spotted
    1337027340

There can be no argument that the Mercedes-Benz E-Class is a handsome sedan, but some changes are underway to make the 2013 model more striking. Our spy shooters caught this wagon, which despite having its front end heavily cloaked, gives up at least a few details. New headlights are hiding beneath all that masking, which will integrate the current ...

Spy Shots: Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake reveals more of its rakish rump
    1336586400

Last time we saw the non-AMG skin of the Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake it was bathed in red paint and caked in Arctic snow and grime. Warmer times have brought new shots of a black car – which we'll christen The Scarab – on standard wheels wearing nothing but a shine and a wisp of camo. Its shape has found a way to divide opinion, as the ...

    Spy Shots: AMG-fettled Mercedes-Benz A-Class caught testing
    1334597280

The Mercedes-Benz A25 AMG has disrobed almost completely compared to the last time we saw it. It makes minimal changes to the A-Class form, just a fiercer set of wheels and, under the last remaining camo, a brace of larger air intakes in front and a restyled diffuser in back. We'd also expect those oval pipe finishers to be swapped for trademark AMG quad ...

Spy Shots: Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series caught braving the cold
    1332521100

Mercedes-Benz has a history of offering performance models that would make any niche supercar manufacturer cower. The latest among them is the SLS AMG, but the gullwing coupe and its roadster counterpart aren't the extent of what the German automaker's skunkworks have in store. No, that place of honor at the top of the Mercedes-Benz lineup will soon be ...

Report: Mercedes-Benz to bring next-gen GL-Class to New York
    1332281700

When we caught sight of this heavily-cloaked GL-Class last summer, we thought Mercedes-Benz was just refreshing its big SUV with a cosmetic facelift and maybe a new engine. New reports seem to indicate that Mercedes-Benz may be launching an all-new, second-generation GL for 2013, however. According to Car and Driver, the new GL will be based on the ...

Spy Shots: Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG Shooting Brake is the one we want
    1331919000

With every new set of spy shots, we become increasingly more excited for the launch of the Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake (or is that Break?). This tapered wagon version of the shapely CLS is certainly a looker, even in pre-production, camo-clad protype form, and after giving its shockingly quick sedan counterpart high marks for its driving dynamics, we ...

Spy Shots: Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake snapped winter testing
    1328315280

Mercedes-Benz hasn't exactly been secretive about its desire to offer a five-door hatchback version of its ultra-stylish CLS sedan. After all, the first concept for the latest CLS, which was introduced as a 2012 model, introduced us to the CLS Shooting Break Concept at the Beijing Motor Show in 2010. And yes, MB itself called the car a Shooting Break, not ...

Video: Mercedes teases A-Class ahead of Geneva debut
    1327355100

Last we heard, Mercedes-Benz was planning to bring its new A-Class to North America, a market where the current model has never been sold. But whether it makes the trek or not, there's little question that the new premium hatchback will be a vital product for Daimler. While the current A-Class hasn't been a smashing success, the segment has grown into an ...

Spy Shots: Mercedes-Benz CLC snapped testing in the snow
    1325966580

Our spy photographers have caught the Mercedes-Benz CLC out for a little winter testing. Based on the same platform as the company's A and B-Class vehicles, the CLC should offer buyers a smaller alternative to the Mercedes-Benz CLS. Rumor has it the CLC will be available in both front and all-wheel drive configurations, and AMG is already humming along on ...
