Spy Shots: This is our clearest look yet at the next Maserati Quattroporte
    1351877580

The best look we've had at the next Maserati Quattroporte so far was found in patent drawings that could have substituted for a whole lot of other cars. But seen here is a more useful glimpse, courtesy of someone on the lookout in Italy who caught a prototype in a skin-hugging wrap. Maserati has apparently gone with the Charles Eames philosophy on the ...

Spy Shots: Maserati's sub-Quattroporte sedan spotted testing
    1343690400

The spy photogs at CarPix have caught the upcoming small sedan from Maserati to slot under the Quattroporte, rumored to be dubbed Levante, out testing. The spy shots frankly don't tell us much more than that, since the mule is wrapped in an ill-fitting Quattroporte body giving away little more than a shorter wheelbase and smaller brakes. The Levante, if ...

It looks as if work is officially underway on the next Maserati Quattroporte. Our spy photo friends managed to click the first few images of a pre-production prototype stretching its legs on public streets. The four-door is covered in enough cladding to successfully obscure any hint of new body work, but from what we're told, there's a whole new chassis ...

Not quite sure what it is that you're looking at above? Fret not, neither does anyone else... save some engineering types at Maserati, of course. Sure, we can all recognize the shape of the beautiful GranTurismo, but what's with the large rear spoiler? And, even more puzzlingly, why does this GT have twin exhaust outlets poking out high up on the rear ...

Maserati Quattroporte facelift spied sans camo
    1211894940

You've got about $130,000 to buy a luxury sedan. We know, it's a terrible situation to put yourself in, but bear with us. You could get the same Audi A8, BMW 760i or Mercedes S-Class as everyone else at the country club. The Jaguar XJ doesn't do it for you and the Bentley Continental Flying Spur is outside your range, so where do you look? The Maserati ...

    Spy Shots: Maserati Quattroporte facelift

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that, but it'd take something really spectacular to make a car like the Maserati Quattroporte look anything but elegant. The company's new GranTurismo, itself based on the sedan, managed to do a good job of making its four-door stable-mate pale by comparison, so it should come as no big surprise that the Trident ...

Speculazione: Is this a new Maserati or the Ferrari Dino?
    1185218880

Manufacturers testing development mules for upcoming models go to great lengths to camouflage their prototypes in order to hide from the public what they're working on. That never stops the motoring press, in print and in cyberspace, from speculating on what that the camouflage is disguising, usually with considerable accuracy. A certain set of spy shots, ...

"We are not developing a cheap Ferrari" is the oft-repeated party line in Maranello.
