Big Luxury That's Long On Looks Three-row crossovers are a bit like accounting departments in that every automaker has one, and there isn't much else about them that's exciting. But while most every automaker offers a crossover with seating for seven or eight, there surprisingly aren't many…

Nissan, Kia under investigation over occupant detection systems

Nissan and Kia are under investigation by NHTSA because of reported flaws with the occupant detection system. The Nissan campaign could affect nearly a million cars to check if a recall from last year worked.
Nissan recalls 640k crossovers for wiring issue, hood release

Nissan recalling 470k previous-generation Rogues for a wiring harness connector that could short out, and another 170k Pathfinders (as well as their Infiniti counterparts) to fix the hood latch mechanism in two separate campaigns.
Nissan recalling more than 1M vehicles for airbags that may fail to deploy

Nissan and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration have issued a recall for 989,701 vehicles in the US due to an issue with their passenger-side airbag systems. Affected Nissan models include the Altima, Leaf, Pathfinder and Sentra from the 2013 and 2014 model years, and 2013 NV200 taxis. 2013 Infiniti JX ad blitz to tip off with NCAA March Madness

Infiniti has loosed the hounds of advertising on behalf of its new three-row, seven-seat crossover, the 2012 JX. The four spots, set to run throughout NCAA March Madness, are focused on features like a novel Backup Collision Intervention System, live personal assistant and tri-zone entertainment. They aren't the most creative spots we've ever seen, but they do a good job of showing a number of the CUV's unique features while placing the vehicle in a luxury context.

Nissan recalling 151,000 CUVs over ABS issues

Nissan will be recalling over 151,000 vehicles due to issues with the anti-lock braking systems. On rough roads, light braking in the Nissan Pathfinder, Infiniti JX35 and QX60 could trigger a problem in the brake pressure output software that might lead to longer stopping distances than expected relative to the brake inputs. Needless to say, unpredictable stopping distances on rough roads is not a desirable trait in a three-row, family friendly CUV.
